The media could not be loaded. Bottom line up front, I love this clock. It sat on my desk at work and then my shelf at home when COVID hit. I have received so many compliments on it. And I even gifted one to my Army buddy when he retired and he said it was the best gift he got. I bought it back in 2016 (this review was written in 2023) and it has been running non-stop since - until now. The battery life is great. And it was pretty accurate until about a year ago when it started to slow down. However, just recently I think the gears finally gave out and it started making some loud grinding noises. Being an engineer, I opened it up and looked "under the hood". I think I was able to find the weak link and it is likely just a combination of poor tolerancing coupled with plastic gear teeth that can't stand up to time. But if you are willing to look past the long-term quality issues you can be very happy with this for at least 7 years. ... show more

    • Awesome clock with some pitfalls
The clock is wonderful, appealing to look at, and keeps time accurately. That said, after 25 months of continuous use, I've identified a couple pitfalls. First and foremost, it's pretty annoying to switch for daylight savings time fall-back in the autumn, as you just have to wind it forward by flipping 23 hours worth of cards. The second pitfall is that the cards themselves wear over time and eventually some fall out. In the past two years I've had about 5 fall out, including the top half of "59"/bottom half of "00" card, which is the card with a special tab that drives the timely flip of the hour card. Now the hour card flips a few minutes before the top of the hour. Overall I still love the clock, but it's become more of a shelf-based novelty than a functional clock, as it can only really accurately track minutes anymore, and some numbers are incomplete on the top or bottom half due to the aforementioned missing cards ... show more

Received product right when expected, but, it was shipped in box with picture of product on outside. Box had a hole in the side bottom of the box & box had been opened & not secured. Product for future birthday gift so not sure if should return or try it out & make sure it works.

Love this clock. Looks cool and has a retro and nostalgic look to it, while still retaining some modern charm. I have this on a bookshelf in my clinic and patients are always commenting on how cool it is.

    • Great Clock, had it for almost three years, But number flaps break and fall off every month or so
I get a lot of compliments on the clock, it's really a nice statement piece. But the numbers are too fragile and break. I contact support after the first few flaps broke, and they said they would send me replacements, but I never received anything. Contemplating buying a second one, but might look for a different brand to see if the flaps last longer. ... show more

Looks great, works as advertised. It does use a D-cell battery which is a little annoying because most people don't have those on hand, and it's also not super accurate, at least it drifts by a couple of seconds a week, maybe a minute every two months; but I didn't buy it for exact time keeping, I'd recommend it if you want a fun novelty clock. ... show more
