I occasionally have an ant problem where I live and was looking for something to combat that problem but isn't filled with synthetic, chemical ingredients. So I discovered this item and decided to give it a try. First I want to say that I wasn't very pleasantly surprised at the scent from the essential oils. And secondly this item has worked pretty well to eliminate my ant problem.     • Careful where you spray it

We were having housefly problems and nobody wanted to do anything about it, so I went on a rampage and bought this. Cedar smell option. I find it pretty effective. At least, I cleaned and sprayed all the indoor trash cans and other hotspots, and the flies didn't like to go near them anymore -- but as you may expect, it did not actually kill the flies, just repel them. I got an electric flyswatter and flypaper to kill them :-) It actually smells kind of cucumber-melon out of the bottle, and I was getting very little cedar scent when spraying it all around the house -- so I figured this was a very tasteful attenuated cedar extract kind of situation. My brother asked me to spray his entire room, and oh boy, then the whole place smelled like the inside of a fresh cedar chest! (It faded within ~12 hours though.) I'm not sure what the difference was between his room and the rest of the house (just more wood?) ... show more

We have two small dogs and a baby so we were concerned we wouldn’t be able to find an indoor pest spray that was safe to use. We have had issues with ants and other random critters and this has worked wonders. We’ve used the cedar wood spray for our Yorkie for over a year with good success to get rid of a mild flea problem and to deter mosquitoes from bothering him. We live in an older historical home and was eager to try this similar home spray. I was really hoping it would also kill/deter crickets and it does!! Woop-woop! Sprayed near a live cricket and it started to run and then I sprayed it directly and it was dead in about 15 seconds. Our Yorkie sometimes likes to eat crickets so I had to find something that would deter/kill the crickets trying to get into the house via the siding (that sometimes would find their way inside) but that would be safe for our Yorkie (although he doesn’t eat the dead ones). I also have young children and wanted something safe and natural to use for their sake too! I sprayed up underneath our siding all around our house where the rain won’t wash away the spray. That’s when the crickets started running - hoping to deter them from coming in our home and I really think this will work after seeing how much they hate it. Will also spray here and there indoors as well but we don’t currently have any major bug issues indoors so it will mostly just be a preventative. We love the clean cedar wood scent. It kills fleas. Cedarwood is a safe essential oil for cats. Not all are but Cedarwood is and this is made with Texas Cedarwood the best for pests, I have emphysema and all the insecticides I have been using were really making it even harder to breath but I also cant ignore the flea problem my cats seem to have this year. I have no idea how as they are inside cats but they do and I am so so happy to have found this product. ... show more

I have no idea if the product it’s self works or not…I guess I will know for sure if there are still flies hanging out in the one area I was able to spray. What I do know, is that for $37, your sprayer that comes with your bottle should work. Mine did not work at all, I tried for a good while to get it going and nothing. In an attempt to salvage the situation I tried using a different spray bottle. Whatever is in this gummed that sprayer up and now it doesn’t work either. I may have gotten five or six sprays out of it. I’m a little bit frustrated with my purchase. I only bought this because, for some reason I have an over abundance of flies this year and they are congregating around the litter boxes. I really wanted something that would be safe to use around the cats. To spend that much and not even be able to use it is just frustrating. UPPDATE: I have managed to get the sprayer to work, however, it leaks while in use. I am a little conflicted about whether or not the spray works. Now that I am able to use it, I used it as directed and sprayed the areas suggested on the bottle. For good measure, I also misted the hot spots. I have not seen many flies since, but I am still seeing gnats around the sink, so I'm not sure if the flies have left or died because of the spray or if that was just the end of this recent wave.
