I've been buying Tekko Pro IGR for a few years since we moved to SW Utah. It seems to do an excellent job at controlling the insect population around our home on almost a 1/3 acre lot. I haven't seen a live insect inside the home in a very long time except for maybe a fly if someone leaves the patio door open along with the screen door open. I grew up in swampy south Florida, so I'm very familiar with household pests and pest control methods. All you need is a professional insecticide combined with an insect growth regulator such as Tekko Pro IGR, some good PPE (personal protective equipment) and a cheap 1 gallon sprayer. Be sure to wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants, gloves, an N95 or KN95 mask, sunglasses and a hat when spraying pesticides. To eliminate the scorpions in our area, I spray Cy-Kick CS about once a month in the hot season. I have also used a few other general insecticides in my rotation such as Demon Max and LamdaStar UltraCap. No matter what insecticide you choose, the Tekko Pro IGR is a vital component to controlling the insect population around your home. To keep it simple, this product prevents juvenile insects from maturing into adults and also stops the insect from being able to molt which leaves them vulnerable to other natural dangers. They claim it can last for up to 7 months which seems to be true. But I still spray this once a month along with my insecticide during the summer months. I have been using this for many years. It is the only spray that kills & keeps insects away!! Neighbors have bugs…I don’t.

    • Does the job, not quite as good as Gentrol
No visible residue, no lingering scent. Easy to mix up, 1oz per gallon of water, mixed with an insecticide like Alpine WSG. Doesn't seem to be as effective as Gentrol, but certainly helps reduce the population. Doesn't seem to last as long as Gentrol which is a problem given you're only meant to spray this stuff every 2 months. Overall I'd give it 4 stars, it works, and will help control insect populations. ... show more

    • Stops fleas in their tracks!
This was recommended to me by a pest specialist. My kitties began bringing in the outside with them and I needed something that really worked well. I tried multiple sprays from Home Depot, but they only seemed to offer temporary relief. I mixed this up and put it in my battery powered sprayer. Maybe it's the placebo effect, but it seemed like I got immediate relief. I just sprayed it all over the floor and turned on the ceiling fans. I now spray it about every other week, just to be sure, as my cats are indoor/outdoor. I had also been using the lighted sticky board flea trap, as well as a lamp sitting over a pie pan with water and Dawn soap in it. I wouldn't say it works to really mitigate the problem, but in terms of it working as a pest monitor it works great. when I spray the floors down every other week or two, I rarely see anything stick to the glue board or in the pan of soapy water. I haven't used it yet, but I have high hopes. Used Fenvastar in the past, but thought I should change it up periodically to prevent resistance forming in flea control. Simultaneous IGR spray is a must for complete control!

    • Birth Control for fleas and other insects
I bought this to use indoors because of a cat flea problem. I removed my cats until it was completely dry. I bought a garden pump sprayer and mixed 1 ounce with a gallon of water. I also used Ortho Max Bed Bug spray with the wand at the same time. I wet down the whole carpet and rubbed it into the carpet with my shoe. I scrubbed the hard floors with pine cleaner then used these sprays on those floors too. I used both chemicals at the same time and let it dry. I blew box fans at the floor to speed up the process. There is no nasty smell from these products. Make sure you spray under things like couches and beds. Spray behind things you can't move on the floor like dressers and hutches. It was very easy to measure from the bottle. I just wish it lasted longer than 24 hours after mixing with water. You might want to mix a half gallon at a time so you don't waste it. ... show more
