We used three of these for a theater production to mic the entire cast. Whether speaking or singing, the sound was fantastic! Granted, not up there with the likes of the "big boys" but this doesn't carry that "big name" price. The range was great, no interference between any of the units, no interference from any electronics, and no unwanted noise from anything. We were in a steel building under a set of cell towers with three of these systems stacked for a total of 12 wireless headsets, singing (or attempting to anyway) the music of Queen with a jousting tournament and battle scene in addition to the acting. No one had problems keeping their headsets on, and once adjusted, no issues with picking up voices. One set of batteries lasted the entire week of tech rehearsals and the weekend of performances. After researching many reviews of this product brand I decided to give them a shot and very glad I did. I was in the market for a multi channel wireless mic system to implement into a audio rack I put together for wedding ceremonies, karaoke shows, etc. This microphone system fit the bill perfectly. I had it up and running just minutes after unboxing with it's ease of operation. The ability to change frequencies is a huge upgrade from my previous fixed channel system that would often get interface at some venues like firehalls where there was other radio activity in the area. The auto-scan feature scans the environment to match you up with the best group/channel to use to avoid any conflicts with other wireless devices in the area. It's also a huge bonus for officiants having both the headset or lavalier to choose from and I'm likley going to add to handhelds to this system as well for complete flexibility. Do not be fooled by the price this is a solid system that will stand toe to toe with some of the more expensive well known brands out there. Phenyx Pro is definitely a rising brand in my opinion and will be doing amazing things if they continue to produce this type of quality at a friendly budget price ... I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a legit multi channel system for a amazing value. ... show more

This wireless is solid. Prices is the most important thing but the range and working feel like a Shure unit to me. Best wireless so far.

    • Lackluster mic quality for the price
The unit is built quite well for the price, but the body packs feel cheap and are difficult the open at time. I assume this will wear in. The batteries are quite difficult to put in and take out as well. The lavalier and headset microphone quality is lacking. It can pick up your voice just fine, but it also has an awful background static-y sound to it that you can hear easily when the wearer is silent and slightly when they are speaking. I tested with a RODE lav and also a cheap Sarmonic lav, both sounded far superior to these. I tested every lav and headset mic in the box and they all sound terrible on every body pack. If you get this, I would also recommend investing in a set of 3-pin mini-XLR lav mics separately. I hear the handheld microphones sound fine and do not have any weird audio issues, but I have not tested this myself to verify. The range is also very sufficient for my needs, and I have not tested its limits as they work perfectly for what I'm doing. All-in-all, you get some good quality with what you pay for especially if you replace the lav mics. ... show more

We have two mixers connected giving eight wireless mikes and the system works very well. Very pleased. However one lapel connector has broken. We need a replacement lapel mike and a spare.

    • high quality feel, low quality output
This system was easy to setup and get going. Changing frequencies via the pairing process is pretty simple. The controls and adjustments on the main unit feel like good quality, and I like the option of individual XLR outputs or combined mono. The range from the belt pack to the receiver is impressive as well which was one of the deciding factors for me in purchasing this unit after our old unit was retired. Unfortunately there is a noticeable "wavy sound" to the audio. For me, these was first noticeable when you would hear someone inhaling or exhaling in a steady tone. I was worried the person had an upper respiratory infection (or COVID) because of the waviness of the sound. After testing the belt packs myself, if became clear the waviness was not the speaker but the unit. Tested multiple belts packs, multiple microphones, different frequencies, and powering down any potential device interference. This seems to be an issue with the receiver itself. Reaching out the Phenyx support, then returning the unit if no solution can be reached. Highly disappointed in the audio quality... update 3/8/2021 - It has been nearly a week and have had no response (not even an automated response) from the support contacts listed on the packaging. I did, however, order an additional Wireless Microphone in addition to the 4 wireless belt packs that came with the system. THE WIRELESS HANDHELD MICROPHONE WORKS FLAWLESSLY! The additional microphone paired without issue to one of the channels (in lieu of a 4th belt pack ), and DOES NOT have the wavy, slightly garbled sound at certain frequencies. This leads me to believe the wireless belt pack transmitter, or the lapel microphone itself is the issue. I have also tried different foam ends on the lapel mic, and recording with no foam covering the mic at all to no avail. Due to running out of time to return the product, I requested a replacement from Amazon which was promptly shipped. Upon testing the first belt pack, I noticed the same issue as the other belt packs. Update 5/10/2021 - I have had more interactions with Phenyx Support which has been helpful. I have tested a Samson Mini XLR microphone on the Phenyx belt pack, and the wavy sound appears to be gone. I believe there is an issues (for me) with the belt pack microphones. Still working with support to make this right. Will post updates as more information becomes available. I do notice that the system is not sold with different lapel microphones than when I purchased the system... Update 10/4/2021 - It's been a while since I came back to update. Phenyx support sent a replacement lapel and a replacement headset. The lapel worked but the headset did not. The system has been working well now for several months, and it appears that the true cause of the issue is/was poor quality microphones being used with the belt packs. I also independently purchased a "JK MIC-J 044" mini-XLR lapel microphone, and this has been working well with the system and is a little slimmer then the Phenyx microphones. I am still working with Phenyx support to get a full set of working lapels (as they only sent a single replacement for testing). This works fine for now as we have mainly been using a single belt pack and/or handheld microphone, but I will provide and additional update when there is full resolution. ... show more
