Karaoke is fun, especially if you fight against any perfectionism you may harbor and just ham it up for the sheer joy of it. There are lots of alternative approaches to home karaoke, and this is one of them that is not terribly expensive. This is a decent quality microphone with bluetooth, an internal amplifier, and a few additional controls and features. I do not know how much better it might sound than an amplified home karaoke mic that is way cheaper, but this one sounds pretty good. The easiest way to use it is to sync it with bluetooth to your smartphone, tablet, or laptop equipped with a karaoke app or else simply linked to YouTube, where there are karaoke files galore (without a browser add-on like Chrome's Transpose you cannot change the key of a track, but a lot of people don't seem to care about this feature). With bluetooth linked to the mic your voice and backing track emerge together seamlessly from the mic's small speakers. The volume capability of the mic is decent, but not loud enough for a raucous karaoke gathering where an actual big speaker system might be more effective. There is "EQ" which doesn't seem to do a whole lot, and a variable reverb setting. You also can plug in earphones/headphones so you can monitor yourself, i.e., hear what you "really" sound like, which can be sobering if you take it too seriously, but it's also useful. You can plug the mic into a recording device and make home recordings of your efforts. I have to note that this function doesn't work all that well with an iPhone in my own experience, as you need to add a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter and for some reason the backing track doesn't record well (this might be user error, but I have found that using a recording device with an actual 3.5mm plug works better). There are other functions that I have not used, including the capacity to link the mic to your car's FM radio (if you can find an empty space in the bandwidth). You also can buy a second copy of the mic and sing solos (I have not done this). Overall, it is a well-made, reasonably durable-seeming device that produces good quality sound (for the price) and is a lot of fun to use if you want to do home, one-person-at-a-time karaoke. I’ve had an absolute blast with the BONAOK Karaoke Microphone. Right out of the box, it feels solid and well-made, with a sleek design that looks great in your hand or sitting on a stand. The build quality is excellent—it feels like a premium product, not a toy. Setting it up is effortless—just connect via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet, and you’re ready to sing along with your favorite tracks. The built-in speaker delivers rich, clear sound that’s impressive for its size, and the volume easily fills a living room. This is hands down one of the best karaoke microphones with built-in speakers I’ve tried. I’ve purchased other karaoke mics before, but they felt like a waste compared to this one. The BONAOK offers multiple sound effects, including karaoke mode, master mode, and more, so you can customize your voice exactly how you like it. Battery life is equally impressive—I used it for a couple of evenings without recharging, and it still had plenty of power left. I have purchased many of these kinds of microphones over the past couple of years. I sing in a band and almost daily in-between band practices while on the road with one of these kinds of mics. This particular mic, the g50, is a bit heavy (but extremely well built) and a little bit pricey, but if your main concern when buying one of these is sound quality and volume, I have not found another that can equal the g50. If you want a cheaper one just for occasional fun, you could get a quieter one with less features and still have lots of fun. The 10 watt stereo speaker microphones like the old e103 style ones are great for messing around. But, if like me, you just want a nearly as good as a stage-mic sound, just get this thing and try it out. You can always return it. I ended up ultimately buying 2 because of a Black Friday deal, and also that you can dual pair them, with each running at 26 watts. In the car, you can get the 26 watts from the mic AND the full volume of your car stereo via FM signal. I've noticed no problematic latency either. Also, if you like to pack Bluetooth speakers (most of which have no FM tuner, but most have an auxiliary input). I bought an FM receiver/radio from Amazon for less than $15, so now our portable beach/campingOke setup includes my 2 JBL Xtremes stereo-paired to the two paired microphones will enables me to pump out nearly 100 watts on the go. Battery life seems good so far, but full volume will significantly affect the battery life. The longest continuous use experience I've had so far with the g50 was around 3 hours, so that's pretty good at full volume. I think it was only a little past half-drained. I love these microphones. I do not represent Bonaok in any way, but I would consider it if they asked at least to test out this more serious hobbyist range. I hope they keep pursuing these higher end features and build quality.

I was waiting for my daughter (the real singing star in our house) to do a demo for me, with this Bonaok karaoke microphone. But, she can't seem to find the time. (Funny, she has plenty of time when she has an audience.) So, I've been playing with it for a while I can tell you that this is probably the most professional karaoke microphone on the market. I did an acapella recording of myself singing one of my favorite songs. the sound is fantastic. But, playing it back through my computer doesn't really do the mic justice. So, I'm not going to post it. First, the way it's built is super impressive. The mic is very rugged, substantial and designed to last. The internal battery will last for the entire karaoke party and still have power left. The variable echo and reverb are great. The built in stereo speakers are great, producing crisp clear highs and rich deep bass. The built in controls are simple to use and practically indestructible. it connects to your Bluetooth devices instantly, and has cords for physical connection to your smart device. You can even extend the cord and upsize it to a larger plug, to go with larger PA systems. It also comes with a charging cord, a nice little velvet pouch to store your cords in, a windscreen and a VERY well made carrying case. The instructions are well written and easy to read and understand. We always do karaoke at my house, for every party. (We have many talented singers in our extended family.) Most of them have their own systems and microphones. Now, I have my own, which I am very proud of and am happy to give it five melodious stars.

Update2: Seller resolved the issue quickly. I am very grateful and would buy again. UPDATE: It it stopped turning on, and stopped charging in just a year and a half. I only used occasionally a couple times a month singing a few songs. No dropping, no accident… The sound quality is definitely on a different spectrum compared to the Q37 I had. This one is strong, crisp, clear. I had trouble upgrading from $27 to $109 but bit the bullet and tried it out. It would have been 4 stars but I got a gift card to give 5 stars, which fairly brought the price down to expectation. At above $100, I would expect it to solve the issue of recording, which I wrote in my review of the Q37. For amateur Karaoke fans, we record the songs to upload to our online chat group for fun. Since the group consists of multi nationals using multi languages, we do not want to rely on a third party app that controls the recording and charges a fee for limited songs. Free Apps are no good. We use YouTube to play songs on the mic and record on a second device. This is where the sound got lost. However, the G50 manages to pass through fairly well. It is best if you pair your earphone to the recording device. I find wearing just one ear piece yields the best sound. Feed back to manufacture: Enable the SD card to record directly from the mic and/or provide a free internal recording app with no string attached. Also, the volume adjustment going to the top before going back down is not great. Btw, This Mic is very HEAVY, best to have a tripod. I am looking for a pair of duet mic for my parents who picked up Karaoke habits during the pandemics. G50 is top on the list but I am not sure the weight is practical for 80 year olds.... Update: I want to add that I emailed customer service to ask about how to connect the G50 to my new Bose Mini speaker and have the sound from the mic pass through a DJ sound mixer. The reason for this was bc when I recorded karaoke through an earphone and IPhone, the bass and the voice got muffled. I never got a response from company. However, I finally found that when you plug the wire that came with the G50 into the IPhone, the recording came out much better. No need to wear headphone. That solves a big problem of mine. I no longer need the sound mixer. Now, the G50 still can’t pair with my Bose mini, and the wire is not recognized to send the music through Bose speaker while singing. And if you have a new IPhone that no longer accommodates a wire headphone plug, I need a new solution for recording.
