Alright so I have to say to begin with that I took a chance on these guys with their 4 mic 5000 system, and I was absolutely blown away by it. I was going to upgrade to the 8 mic version of the 5000 system, but seen the pro series was coming out. So I bit the bullet and spent a little more. This brand by itself has some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with. I really can't say enough good about them. Now on to the product. Right out of the box, this feels exceptionally more professionally built. Each mic feels nice in your hand and has a useful mute option as well. The range is incredible, and the whole system came ready to just plug and play as a replacement to my other system. Once I began messing with some of the settings, I figured out very quickly that it's incredibly easy to switch each individual mic to a new channel if needed because of interference. You just press the set button til F comes up on the main unit, then make sure the mic is on and hold the ir sensor to the unit and boom you're ready to go. This entire system is just crazy good for anything I can throw at it. I have used the older system as primarily a karaoke system in my basement for just chilling and hanging out. My kids have been wanting to join in on the festivities lately, and 4 mics just wasn't enough. So we upgraded and I couldn't he happier. I have also used it to dj and to host a wedding. It's really easy to get going and if you do run into issues, their customer support is amazing. From my personal experience with this company and their products, I absolutely recommend purchasing any of their systems. This has been an incredible thing to have, and to finally be able to not have wires running all over the basement and opening up all the space I could. I was extremely nervous to go wireless but the freedom and clearing space alone was worth it, and that's not even talking about the overall quality. Awesome great sounding microphone system all in 1 receiver with 8 mics. The PTU 6000 microphone frequencies can be scanned on all 8 microphones so you’ll get the best interference free sound quality out of the system. Very easy to understand system and the metal microphone body build feels great in your hand and the sound quality that comes out of this system is incredible. Excellent price point for an 8 microphone system. Phenyx pro is a great company that stands behind there products.     • Lots of bang for your buck
For the price you pay, you get a lot from this product. Eight mics is probably more than I’ll ever use but it’s nice to have the flexibility if I ever need it. Ranger is very good and the housing feels very sturdy. Pairing and operation is fast and convenient once you take a few minutes to learn it. Haven’t had any drops, where some guitar wireless packs I use don’t fair well in Wi-Fi/cellular dense environments. I noticed the frequency response is a bit dark, which you should be able to use a high pass filter and clean it up a bit. It’s VERY directional unlike my SM58s, although both are dynamic mics, the pheonyx rejected way more if you don’t hold it directly at your mouth (ie: holding it at your chin doesn’t pick up too well). Other thing I dont like is there’s no option to change or upgrade the capsule. I would like to see them use the same fitting as a shure or sennheiser perhaps. Lastly, the gain buttons run very hot. I had the volume down all the way and got around line level gain (-18db) with no added gain on the mixer— not necessarily a problem but surprised me compared to other pro gear. ... show more

    • A lot for the money!
Excellent sound quality! Blind tested it against the SM58 with all the EQs flat, the difference is hardly noticeable. Metal casing, variable frequency, 2AAs to power it up, it's everything you're gonna need for a simple wireless set up. Ran the wireless mics through an active mixer, didn't even have to separate the channels. Then from the mixer's "Rec Out'' to a couple of channels of the Audio Interface, the band sounded awesome via Zoom. Don't forget to buy wireless mic clips though, these mics are huge and heavy. Love 'em! Bought the PTU 6000 and the PTU 71 so I can have a 10 wireless mic system! This for me is the best out there for the money! ... show more

We ordered these for our church. We where told by SEVERAL people that we shouldn’t buy “this brand” and shouldn’t by a unit that supports more than 4 mics. Well we went against the odds. And we LOVE IT. We have had no issues, and we find it to work great. I will say you will want to get rechargeable batteries though lol ... show more
