I've been wanting to try a wireless meat thermometer for some time now. I have a wired one that works great, but the wire gets in the way all the time. This was perfect. We tested it out with a thick bone-in rib roast. (I forgot to take a pic when it came out of the oven; what's on the plate is my half!) Battery: My thermometer did not come charged so I fully charged it with the included USB-C cord (there is no power block so make sure you have one of your own). Connection / App: I downloaded the app from the Play Store by following the QR code included in the instructions. Followed the instructions and the app and had no issues pairing the thermometer to my phone. When the thermometer is removed from it's case, then it will show up in the app. When it's in the case charging, it does not. Ease of Use: The instructions were very easy to follow. The most important thing is to make sure to insert the thermometer at least up to the etched line so as not to damage it. Accuracy: Perfect. The app chimed when our preset temperature was reached. We left the thermometer in while we took the meat out to rest and set another alert for when it reached medium-rare. Storage: I LOVE how the case is magnetic. It attaches well to the side of my fridge where I can grab it easily. Make sure you peel off the 2 pieces of protective plastic on the back that cover the rubberized grips to keep it from sliding down. Overall, I am very, very happy with this wireless meat thermometer so far. I can't wait to try it out on the grill once it gets warmer out!

No more overcooked or undercooked meat. Set up was easy. Controls took me a bit to figure out, but it is fairly intuitive in the navigation, and so convenient to have on your phone. Worked great when using in my full size oven, but like others have noted I cannot use it in my toaster oven which is where I cook most of my meals. But this will be great for holidays when big cuts, turkeys, etc., are more common. Made of quality materials. Seems to hold up well. Does it's job well. Overall I do really like it. 4 stars.

Used product two or three times then it stopped working. Tried to contact manufacturer for support but got no response. Then Amazon tells me that this item is not eligible for return/replacement. Don't make the same $45 mistake I made. Update: based on my original review the seller of the product contacted me through Amazon. They worked extensively with me to try and solve my problem. When none of their fixes worked, they gave me a full refund of my purchase price. I appreciated the good faith actions of the seller.

Like a typical guy. I don't always read the directions. And that was 100%, okay with this easy to use thermometer. It's so easy to use and self explanatory how it works. It connected itself to my phone without any difficulty all by itself. The probe itself is easy to clean and easy to Insert. Recharging is also very simple and self explanatory. This thermometer is a real bargain for the price. It will also make a great gift for the barbecue enthusiast in your life.

We used this on a tri-tip roast on the grill. I am not good at technology but I easily downloaded the app and the set up was simple. I like that there is redundancy with the app and the thermometer itself. The thermometer seems well made and sturdy. The temperature readings were correct and the thermometer was helpful.

Previously, I have used an instant read thermometer to verify when my meat is ready, and I expect I will probably stick with it for things like barbecuing chicken breasts or thighs where the one in the top right part of the grill could be done 5 minutes before the one in the bottom left. If I have to individually measure multiple pieces of meat, instant read is still the way to go. But, if I'm doing a roast whether a rib roast or round roast in the oven or a tri-tip on the grill, a wireless probe and remote app like this alerts me as soon as the roast reaches the desired temperature.no chance of setting an alert in 30 minutes only to find that it's overdone because it cooked in 25 and what you wanted to be medium rare is now well done. The hardest part about setting up the app was getting the QR code to scan so I could get the t from the play store. Otherwise installing and using it was seamless. It comes set to Celsius but once I had started, I was able to change to Fahrenheit in the settings menu and so far it's stayed put. It alerted me as soon as the roast hit 140 degrees internal temperature and then let me monitor it after I tented it in foil. Battery life looks like it has a lot of extra room--my probe and base both register full power after a little over 2 hours of use and the listed battery life of 12 hours means I'm likely to have quite a few years before battery life falls to the point that it can't handle a six hour cook time on a rib roast.
