The lights are great for my purpose- accenting Christmas displays, but both remotes are useless. Only the two dimming buttons do anything (turning the color to green)I tried new batteries but still useless. Since you can utilize all functions with a button on the light base, this doesn't matter to me. The light will turn itself off after four hours which may matter to some but is fine for my purposes. ... show more

Bought my first set, loved the design and remote, but one of the two had a manufacturing flaw and the whole lamp portion glowed like a torch, too distracting to even use. Though the remotes worked flawlesly. So, I decided to order another set, this was a disaster (Amazons fault!) this set was USED! NOT NEW, no remotes, no mounting hardware, both units had leaking batteries in them with battery acid all over. Returned these (still have not receive confirmation of the return after two weeks) for a third set, This set was new and complete, both lamps performed perfectly, but the remotes have been very problematic, at first the remotes would not turn the lamps on at all (thus preventing ceiling mounting) but all other remote features worked just fine, now after a week or so, the power on works sometimes but not consistently. Even with all of this drama, we do love the lighting they provide for our paintings. So all in all a win, but not sure I would bet on another set working properly. ... show more
