Let me preface by saying that I live in Houston so the humidity and heat can take their toll on these type of outdoor electronics. That explains why I’ve had to buy new doorbells at least every few years which has turned me into a sort of expert of these by default. Ultimately I can’t tell you about the longevity of this one but out of the box it appears terrific. Out of the box - plug in receiver into outlet and push the transmitter, on the side of the receiver adjust volume up or down, in clearly marked buttons, or change the sound of the chime. Tons of chime choices and some are pretty funny. Sound is clear. 39!! chime choices. 5 volume levels. Instructions are written well and in proper English and includes how to configure multiple transmitters if you purchase more than one for the same home. Transmitter has a 23A/12v battery which isn’t common but available on Amazon. Should last much longer than those coin batteries popular in these transmitters. Comes with double sided tape that is very sticky and adheres well to a clean flat surface. Usually I have to throw these out when a battery change is needed. Prying the transmitter off the wall in order to open the case will often times break the case made brittle by weather. Then you also need to peal off old adhesive and find a new way to re-stick. This case had a notch at the top where the use of a thin coin - a dime but not a nickel or quarter - will open the case for battery change without removing entire case from the wall. Also case has a watertight gasket around the outer edge which hopefully prolongs life. I tried transmitting from 20 feet away and the chime was quick to respond. For this price I think this is a terrific option. It appears that the manufacturer put some thought into making this a longer lasting product. Big thumbs up!!

This little doorbell is a simple adhesive and plugin install. Since I’ve purchased it’s been holding up great. Including through some light snow and rainy weather. There’s plenty of volume and sound options on this little thing. You can plug this in about anywhere in a house and even at 75% volume you’ll hear this through most houses if it’s in proximity. Proximity really isn’t an issue either as I had this on different levels of the house and was hearing it immediately and clearly. This is a nice simple option for those needing a doorbell definitely!

This doorbell could not be simpler to use, you can just plug & play! We have this setup inside our house, to use as a way to alert our kids upstairs when we need them to come down. It's such an easy system to use. Moving the outlet portion around is all it takes to change where you want to hear the doorbell alerts. There are also a ton of different doorbell sounds, so you can choose whatever you like. Really happy with this!
