Very nice device, easy to install, loud ringers. simply just plug and play. The only thing is after a two or three years of use. It rings by on it's own without any person touching the transmitter. Not sure if it's sensitive to the wind, or a prank doorbell ringer or it's just defective. I ruled out a prank ringer because my Doorbell video camera showed me no one was at the door. Someone let me know what is going on. Otherwise it's a very good, easy to use wireless doorbell ringer. It would be perfect If I can figure out why it rings without anyone at the door. Could be the wind or defective. If it's the wind. I would buy another model with a transmitter that isn't so sensitive to the wind. If it's just a defective transmitter for that one item. I would just buy the same item or try a different transmitter and see if it works. If it does that same issue which rings without any one at the door, that might mean that entire series has a manufacture issue and then I would by a completely different model. These worked as a good doorbell for our house. To change the tone/song you have to cycle through all 60 songs one at a time. They could do something like provide a web page that lists them all so you can play them, then quickly cycle to the one you want. Instead, you have to listen to each to know if it's the one you want. I don't know that any others work any better, but it's a little annoying. Also, there are really only about 5-6 bell tones. All the rest are different songs. I think 2 were Christmas songs, so those might be good to use during the holidays. Range seemed good -- our door is pretty far from some of the bells and they all worked. ... show more

Did not purchase for a doorbell but so my Mom could ALERT me if she fell or needed help. She has an apartment built onto my house. I plugged the door dingers in my house and gave my Mom the two door bells. One to install in the shower and the other hangs on her walk in a pouch she can reach from the floor. Has really been a life saver and Peace of Mind! She is going blind and has slight brain damage (diabetic). If she was having a struggle Thinking I did not want her to have to remember how to use a phone which could be an issue in a crisis. We have a 3000 sq foot house with an upper and lower front door. From the master bedroom we couldn't hear either door bell. I purchased this bell kit on a lark thinking I can return it if it wasn't good enough. Package came with bubble wrap so no damage. 2 door bells and 3 recievers. Placed one in the bed room, living room, and downstairs great room. Comes with batteries, albeit types I have not seen before. The receivers really would not need replacing as they are placed into house electric sockets. Set up was a little confusing while placing the second chime on the unit, but in 30 minutes I had all 3 receivers up and running and ready for instalation. So far these work great. The only side effect is they need a brighter flashing light as they were purchased for someone who is deaf and if they are not looking at them, they won't know someone is ringing the doorbell.
