It works, it can be VERY LOUD with the volume adjustments, and has a wide variety of different doorbell jingles. There's no screw holes in the bell's case so you have to puncture it or have it rest in your own custom bell-ringer holster or mount (not included). The battery is reported to work for a year but we'll see (not a common battery, it's like half the length of a typical AAA battery and about the same girth). The range is accurate, it rings accurately from 800+ft away. Easy to install, automatically syncs with itself. A great functioning doorbell but ….. there is just one thing that I found difficult. The directions could be written in a different manner to be more easily understood. After I read them several times they became more comprehensible. Cannot say how you would want to change the directions. It's nice as a doorbell, but we use it inside the house as a call button for my disabled husband. I don't hear very well and when I'm in the farthest away room I take the bell with me and he can ring me when he needs me for anything at all. The call button stays by his chair and the bell stays in whatever room I am in. It can be made loud or soft and runs on a battery that has so far not needed changing even though he rings it quite often. ... show more
