Also because both collars are able to link to the same remote that is also a Plus. And I love that I was able to get the set in pink for my great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog, and the black one for my little shih Tzu lap baby. We live in the country so it's important that there is a large radius which it has. So that my lgd is able to do her job safely. Bought this item Oct 2025 - Collar only shocks when you specifically personally press a button to make it happen. While I understand that we don't want it accidentally shocking my dog when it shouldn't, I have a very persistent dog that will run right across the field next to my property, with the collar beeping and vibrating the whole way, living his best life and frolicking himself right into trouble more often than not. What I need (and thought I was ordering) is something that gives him a warning, and then if he doesn't knock it off it sets a firm boundary. It is not in the cards to do a buried line at this time so I gave this a chance. Over the last few months I thought I was just getting really bad at keeping either the collar or the controller (or both) charged, and I chalked it up to the busy holiday season and the weather being cooler so he's more likely to stay close to home etc.... a week ago I noticed the controller kept shutting itself off even with a charged battery, and now it won't hold charge at all. If I can get it to turn the screen on it just shows no battery on the controller, and sometimes continues to show no battery while it is plugged in, OR if I turn the screen off and leave it on the charger, and go to turn it on hours later or even the next day, the screen shows zero charge. TLDR : Depending on this item is a risk and it doesn't pay off. I really thought it would last at the very least 6 months to a year and it didn't come close. Poor quality. Not worth a dime. The collar fit so at least there is that. My dog is clearly quite comfortable in it, roams about wherever he pleases as it doesn't hinder him at all. I, however, do not feel comfortable or secure about this product's ability to keep my dog where he is supposed to be. ... show more

This is the third electric fence collar we've had, and it was absolutely perfect, for like 25 days. Love the slim remote, long lasting battery life, and I like the fence collars that move with the remote and not a set gps location because they are great to use on walks and camping trips as well as at home. Can't say we even tried the shock feature, so I have no opinion on that; a beep or vibrate is enough to get my dog to stay nearby on our few unfenced acres. I'm so sad that after less than a month, the screen on the remote froze and no longer functions with the collar. It's not locked, I've tried charging it, it won't change settings or even turn off. It's just frozen. Glad it happened while I still have 3 days left to return it thru Amazon, but sad because I loved this collar. Sent an email to the company and I'm waiting to hear back before I go through with the Amazon return process ... show more

Works really well but you need to read instructions. It doesn't make your dog come back miraculously. Requires lots of training with treats and reinforcements. Very long collar so should fit pretty much any dog. Do know the zap your dog. It is not designed to punish it. It's designed to have control over it. This worked amazing for training my corgi. However, when I tried to use it for a "fence", it failed miserably. First, it had "holes" where it had no response at all. Then it kept moving where the trigger would be. Even though the controller never moved, the "fence" would be several FEET different from one time to the next. I tried increasing the distance, but it kept getting CLOSER to the house...not further out. I finally gave up and just used the controller in training mode whenever I let the dog out. It worked much better. Also, if you have a small dog, this is NOT the collar for you! Mine is a corgi and I have it on the tightest setting and it's barely tight enough to stay on. ... show more
