    • It seems to be quality & does the job right
So far, It seems to be good quality maintaining the 12V standard Lead Acid Marine Battery at 12+ Volts and not reverse drain it down/out after dark as 2 different, previous cheaper ones did in the past that 'claimed would not'. This does not have, nor claim to have, an indicator light showing working connection. Therefore, after, the panel has been connected in sunlight for a few hours/day, you definitely want to disconnect its connections and Voltmeter test for input to your 12V battery. Mine shows 20V. However, this is not what a maintainer puts into the battery as a 'Charge'. 10 DC Amps does not charge, it Maintains; and the one way Diode stops it from draining back out, as it should, and does, So Far. Remember to Check the 20V input on on occasion. Diodes are fragile and often burn out and reverse-drain your battery. Handle that panel Carrfully! The plug was set up with a red and black connector, I connected like normal going by color and it destroyed my battery. I couldn't understand why, I noticed that they had the connector color wrong. The red was on the ground and black on the positive

I'm using this to keep a 12v LiFePo battery topped up to run my landscaping lights and DIY weather station, and it works quite well! It's very light weight and seems to be outputting at it's rated 10 watts when in direct sunlight. More than enough to keep my landscape light and weather station battery topped up. Heavy duty mounting grommets on all 4 corners makes mounting it in a window, or on a stand convenient. I'm just not too sure how well this will hold up to the elements. I'll update this review if it seems to be failing after a considerable time outside. ... show more

    • Perfect For Maintaining My Diesel Heater Batteries!
This past fall, I acquired my first pair of diesel heaters, and I have been very pleased with them. I started looking at alternative ways to power them and settled on 12V Truck batteries. While I have a standard electric charger/maintainer, I figured why not try out a solar panel instead. I can leave them plugged full-time when not in use to ensure they are always topped off and ready to go… and it won’t cost me a thing! When I came across this one in my queue, I quickly ordered it. Included with the solar panel are an array of different battery hookups, offering you a variety of ways to connect the panel to your battery. Included also are some medium-sized carabiners, and suction cups for mounting. I opted to mount the panel on the window using the suction cups, and I use the alligator clips with my battery as they are quick and easy to connect/disconnect. Each of the included components are very well manufactured, which I was very impressed with given the very affordable price. I have been using the panel for about a month now, and am very happy with it. It does a great job of keeping the battery fully charged. Thanks to my positive experience, I actually plan on purchasing more of these panels very soon for the other batteries I have on hand. I would most definitely recommend this set. ... show more

    • Not worth it.
Caused problems with my entire electrical system. Including serious problems with fuel injection system electronics. Tried it several times and kept causing electrical issues when removed and started vehicle. Entire system screwed up repeatedly each time. Drained battery instead of charging it.

I use this to keep my car battery topped off, because sometimes I'll forget to turn off a hardwired accessory. I just have it plugged in through the hardwired 12V plug, and set it on the dash when I park for work. I was leery about it actually having overcharge protection, but so far I have not run into any issues. ... show more
