I like these stools! I’m 69 with arthritis but with taking my time was able to get them together tightly. I left all the screws in the seat slightly loose then used a ratchet strap on the legs to make sure there was no gap before screwing in the wood screws on the cross bars. Then tightened all screws. They wobbled so I removed the glide on the bottom of the short leg and put the extra washer on it before nailing it back on. It worked! ... show more

We purchased 2 sets of 2 chairs that were "returns" at a discounted price. We received them and I knew I would have to assemble them. No problems doing that, I did glue everything as I assembled them (doesn't say to do that). We have had them in use for 5 months with daily use, no problems. I love my dining table, but my chairs were shot. I looked for new chairs or even used chairs to replace mine with. I decided I would be better off buying a new dining set because the price of chairs was so high. Then, I saw these! I was able to maximize the seating at my table because these are the perfect width. The height of my table is 36" (counter height) so it was hard to find 24" chairs to fit it. These look like they go with my table. Also, as a busy mom, I like that there is no fabric on these. Chair is good. Sturdy, well-made, and just what I needed. They look great. Wish front dowel was a smidge lower for my knees, but I can live with it. Unfortunately, assembly was awful. Nothing was labeled; they sent sheetrock screws. My son went to Lowe’s and got correct screws. After getting these, things went smoothly. For the price, they are a great value, but make sure to get help when putting them together. Sturdy and work well for my kitchen bar. ... show more

Great design, clean and beautiful, perfect match for Winsome table. First out: please READ THE DIRECTIONS through before starting in on these, or it won't go together right and you'll give up in frustration. [First set I got was a return, and whomever that buyer was thoughtlessly tossed everything back in the box randomly, most likely mad and blaming the wrong person!] Most important: do not tighten down the bolts until ALL the parts are loose-fit together. I cranked down the back legs, thinking "oh, these need to be set before the rest", then the cross-bars were at wacky angles. Be patient, fit each part in loosely, then tighten the bolts here and there until they are snug. And you'll love the results! ... show more
