Take a few minutes each night or as often as you need to ensure that you are removing wax before it builds up and requires professional service. You do not need to see in these tiny openings, it is more of a gentle “feel your way” when vacuuming. When done every day you can be sure that “What you miss today, you will get tomorrow." 1 year warranty for personal use, 3 month warranty for professional use (Needles and filters are not included in 1 yr warranty) Note: Warranty is void if filter is tampered with or damage is incurred through abuse, dropping, or poor packaging on user's part should factory servicing be required. Pump: Vacuum is 18 inches of mercury. Electrical: All components operate at 12VDC. Power supply is a small desktop Energy Star transformer. It accepts ac voltage from 100-240vac, operating at 50/60Hz converting to 12VDC. Inerchangeable ac cords are available as required.

Nice strong vacuum; could use improved/detailed instructions on how to clean hearing aids as others have talked about using it to clean inside their hear aids; YouTube videos with this level of detail would be good I specifically got this because the 8 beeps on one of my hearing aids indicated either a moisture issue or dirt where the microphones are. I also purchased a dehumidifier/sanitizer for the hearing aids at the same time, however, I still get the 8 beeps. The supplied needle on the end of the vacuum hose is too large to fit into the opening where my microphones are located...probably by design to avoid damage to the microphones. It would be nice if there was a soft rubber part to place on the end of the needle that would seal over the microphone openings as I don't think just putting the needle right at the end provides enough suction to clean these out. ... show more

I've always had problems with earwax protectors on my hearing aids. They itch and won't stay in my ears. I've tried the small ones with the same problems. Now I have thrown out the earwax protectors and just use this device to clean the part that goes in the ears. No more itching and they stay in place. I use this now to vacuum the microphone ends of my Eargo hearing aids, The needle that comes with the unit is slightly too large to penetrate the access ports, but that's good. You shouldn't go poking around in there. On the other hand, the ports are so small and almost invisible (black plastic unit) that it is near impossible to aim the thing. I've had better luck without the needle, using the softer built-in end of the tube. It covers one access hole at a time and the suction seems adequate. One recommendation ... a softer, more pliable tip that might conform and seal itself to the shape or profile of any number of different brands of hearing aid. Those likely would out perform rigid needles which bend or break easily. Customer service was very helpful. Glad I made the purchase! ... show more

It's unbelievable how much wax can get in the bores of your iem's. This is a must have if you ever purchase a used set from head-fi or other audio sites, or just for routine maintenance on any iem that doesn't have mesh keeping the gunk out.
