Winsome Wood's Carrick Counter Stool with square seat offers a refreshingly different take on the indispensable counter stool. Made of solid wood in a rich walnut finish, the 1" thick seat is just over 12" square, giving you plenty of room at the counter or kitchen island for meals, snacks, or working on your laptop. Four sets of crossbars make for a sturdy and balanced stool while providing footrests at two different heights. Along with the smooth, rounded edges of the seat, the warmth of the wood grain will set a comfortable and welcoming tone in your kitchen, dining area, or family room. The counter seat height is 24"H and like most Winsome stools is also available in a bar height. The stool is shipped in a single box that includes the hardware necessary for assembly. Replacement part request can be submitted directly to the manufacturer within 60 days from date of purchase. Good Stool, Great for my use as a speaker stand for my Front L+R bookshelf speakers in my TV/Theater/Music setup. These Winsome stools are nice, not difficult to put together, you need a screw driver for part of the instructions/directions. It also recommend this Mallet, I Think Rubber Mallet to bang the legs into the top piece BUT I did NOT feel/find it was required in my case assembling the stools. Tip/advice, and it says this in the manual: Don't screw the screws in tight all the way at first. Do it at the end. Good Luck. ... show more

These were to be a present but after putting them together I decided they were just what I needed. They are the perfect size. I use them whenever I need an extra seat for company. They are easy to move to the basement or patio. They are sturdy and look very good in any room.
