The sander is well made and sturdy, not a bunch of plastic. Easy to attach table rests. Up and running in minutes. Runs smooth and quiet without vibrating around on bench table top. This thing is GREAT for home use !!
My wife needed a sander for her new jewelry hobby, so I bought a cheap $50 chinese sander from Amazon and it was total junk and returned two days later. Then, I bought this !! This thing is heavy, well made, solid as a rock, and it just works !! I've bought belt assortments for her as well, she accidentally installed a course belt and put a piece of stainless steel to it, and this machine didn't slow or stall, with a course belt it just ate up her metal project and smiled !! I'm not sure how it would hold up in a professional shop environment, but for my wife and her projects, it's MORE than she'll ever need for her home and hobby use. Stop shopping, buy one of these now !

Quality machine
Right out of the box one can tell that this is not a cheap plastic bench-sander wannabee. I used a cheaper sander for several years and when it expired I was almost relieved; I could now buy a really good sander. The previous equipment leaked dust out of and into the belt chamber, the belt was immune to tracking properly, it was LOUD, and it required fastening to the bench to keep it in the game. Bucktool starts right off showcasing a strong metal enclosure for the machinery. It has a solid stance on the work table. The belt change is easier than you could hope for. The belt behaves and tracks well and is sensitive to tiny adjustments with the track knob. Just to add to the features I've noted. there is a long bolt secured to the underside of the belt table serving as an adjustable support for what, in most lesser models, would be an unpleasant tendency to tip forward with the slightest pressure on the edge. The icing on the cake is that it costs only $25 more than a same-model replacement of the original tool. Less noise, great sanding, reasonable price, why aren't America's home woodshops full of Bucktools?

Quiet and powerful.
Seems to be doing great, much better than one of their linear competitors, in the fact that it’s not shocking the tee tee out of me. They even included a sanding belt, which was comparable to the grit that I was already using on a current project, so that was nice! I don’t normally do out of the box reviews, and I believe this is the one and only exception, so I will be updating this review as time goes by.
