I ordered an Portable Evaporative Air Cooler, Model DRAF-286DLR, from Amazon on April 9th, it was delivered April 15th and the fan motor stopped working on Saturday May 24th. The control panel lights up, it's getting power, and the water pump works fine, when you switch to that setting you can hear it immediately kick in. However, the fan does not blow air no matter which setting you turn it to. I called Amazon to replace item and, of course, it's just barely outside of the 30 return window, so I have to call the manufacturer. This is the worst customer experience I've ever had- I'm not sure it's not a scam. The told me I had to email their service department at [email protected] with my order details and a of what's wrong. It's sounds simple enough. They also said to pay attention to my spam folder for the response from that department because some customers have said that it goes their. What's weird is that none of this info is in the owners manual but I called the number on the owners manual. No response, so I call back and they give me the run around and tell me I have to send a file up email before they can check on my request... I think they're just giving me the run around until they can be like, Oh the manufacturer warranty is up now." I think this company is a scam.

Great little unit. Works well, lasts for many hours. Used in bedroom. Is customizable, with a number of settings, and makes a nice soothing sound. I particularly like the ice pack unit at the top, which makes it easy to drop an ice pack in there - which works very well for cooling, and is cleaner than water fillling. My only issue would be that the water fill line gauge on front is hard/impossible to read, so it is easy to overfill.

This product does not cool the air, waste of money. My kids room is small fits a twin bed and 2 dressers and this unit still couldn’t cool it down. We used cool water and an ice pack as instructed, kept trying to see if it would change but no. I’m so upset we kept trying and missed the return window. At best, it’s a fan.

This has saved my life! I am a 70 year old woman, and I have COPD. Anyone with that decease knows extreme temps will still your breath. I live in an apartment that has central air, but for the last two years it's not working so good, and management refuses to admit it. So my son helped me buy this cooler. Yesterday my apartment soared to 83, but I stayed cool with this. my only complaint is I have to get down on the floor, and use my phones flashlight, to see the water level! It doesn't cool the whole room, but it will help keep you cool!

DO NOT BUY! I’ve only had this ac for a couple months now, and it was working “fine” I suppose. It did its job for a little while until today it FLOODED half my bedroom with the entire gallon water tank. The water got onto my extension cords, the trim on my walls could be doomed, and on some of my bedroom furniture. If I wasn’t home, it could’ve been a major fire hazard so BEWARE.

I live in a house with no central AC. This is perfect for my large basement area. The remote is amazing because I constantly switch from hot and cold in the middle of the night and it makes it so easy to adjust. It’s also incredibly light I was so surprised! Love that you can add ice packs too

The fan and air conditioner part work well enough, but the remote control didn't work. I contacted the customer service people and after two weeks of back and forth emails with explanations and photos they finally said they would send me another remote control. A little over a month and a half later, the second remote control arrived. And it doesn't work either. Changed batteries, made sure they were in correctly, everything. I give up. Now it's a room a/c without a remote. I'd recommend buying a different brand and unit.

This windowless portable AC helps take the edge off in a small room, but it’s more of a cooler than a true air conditioner and the cooling power is limited. Quiet and easy to move, but don’t expect it to chill a whole room on its own.
