being compact is cool, but if only 3 feet touch the ground when itโ€™s open then it just doesnโ€™t work. stepping on it put a lot of torque on it and it felt really unsafe. amazon sent a replacement but the new one had the exact same problem. avoid

I got this for our walk in food pantry so that the kids could reach most of the shelves. We have have a few incidents of climbing and this solves that. It is not too many steps, but just enough. I knocked off one star because I am not sure about durability as the aluminum steps seem a little thin. Overall still a good buy and solves our problem.
