Just got a new EV and needed something quick to be able to charge at home with. This is simple plug and play. I plug it into a dedicated 20A GFIC outdoor outlet. So far it has been in some light rain with no issues. My Tesla app shows it drawing a continuous 16amps which is the max you can safely withdraw from a 20A outlet over long periods of time. If it lasts, it will definitely end up being a great buy. Charging is slow, but seems adequate if you have shorter to medium commutes. Those with long commutes or those who just want to charge faster will need to upgrade to a 240v nema 14-30 or 14-50. So far very pleased, if it doesn't last very long I will update this review to reflect that. ... show more

VW no longer includes ANY charger cabling with new car lease/purchase. Since VW offers unlimited FREE charging with Electrify America... and I've got a bank of EA chargers close to home/work. BUT, no charger plug at all? Road trips? Visiting? This one does double duty as 110v and (with included adapter) more powerful 240v recharging... Not everyone has dedicated 240v outlet... that's fine... it's the 110v option that'll be needed in emergencies... super long cable... nice carry/storage case... better safe than sorry...moving on ... show more
