This is a good basket. It is sturdy and looks pretty good. The wind noise is minimal. The only real issue is that for my setup I only have one mounting option. The ad and the instructions say there are two. But the second option which I would have preferred did not work. So the u-bolt ends are sticking up pretty tall and might puncture a waterproof bag. See pictures. I bought bolt covers for the u-bolts. That should solve the puncture issue. ... show more

Right size for my Wrangler and work well. Noise is minimal. Slight rustling at joints but will take care of this with some spray paint. The sealant is messy so be aware! It does work on the tube insert points. Finish is acceptable.

One of the comments that I've seen on all these racks is that they can easily rust. Imagine my surprise when this included a tube of sealant for all the connections. My advice is to assemble the rack entirely, then add the sealant. I can't tell you how many times I grabbed the middle seam and got black gunk all over my hand. It does wash off but is a bit of effort. Pros, strong material, very easy to assemble and looks clean on my 4runner. Cons, logo plate radels at about 35-40mph on rough roads. Freeway noise is non existent easy fix put rubber between plate and bars but overall 5 star product

This is sturdy; however, the extension does not fit the mounting brackets. The gap is wider at the extension and that gap matched the rails on my car... perfectly. Goodness! I removed the extension and will find another way to get it mounted with the extension in place.

I got this for transporting 4x8 sheets of drywall for a basement renovation. Easy to assemble, easy to attach and easy to remove when I’m not using it. No problem carrying a few sheets of drywall and they didn’t crack.

The basket definitely got from point A to point B however the center extension tubes fit very loosely together and once loaded began to sag which did had me slightly concerned. As a once in a while option I would recommend for use/value however if your going to use it more frequently I would recommend a solid one piece pre-welded option. ... show more
