I needed to replace my old keyset lock and wanted to take advantage of the newer high-tech features now available. I installed a Heantle Smart Lock and then added the Heantle Gateway not really knowing what to expect with the gateway installation. The Heantle gateway enables you to lock or unlock the smart lock via the internet remotely using your smartphone. It was a simply designed device and very easy to add/setup using the Next Lock APP. The Gateway is easily seen on the app screen and is easy to use. You do have to add a power block to plug in the USB cable for power to the gateway, but I have a USB port already in my wall outlet near the door. So, I didn't need to buy an additional power block although most people have extra block's that would do the job. This was an excellent upgrade. ... show more

I was I little apprehensive to get this item, I thought I did not need it to be able to use my smart lock, I was so wrong, and getting the getaway was perfect. I can manage my lock from anywhere remotely and am not worried about who has access because I also get updates. I'm so happy that I purchased the Heantle G2 WiFi Gateway along with my Heantle Door Lock. It was extremely easy to hook and pair with my door lock. Now, I love that I can create a key or let someone in manually from my smartphone anywhere I am at. Very convenient. I used this hub with a Heantle HEUS-GS001 lock and TTLock software to integrate the lock with Alexa for remote operation. Everything integrated without issue. The program requires you to select a PIN number to be used with Alexa remote unlock for security. It is a good feature. I have the G2 within 3 feet the door, so I can't comment on the limits of range. I do wish there was a way to program the indicator light out. I mounted it out of sight, but at night there is a blue blinking glow emanating from its location. I'll probably tape over it. ... show more

    • Works great but blinking blue light is annoying
It works great for connecting to Alexa. It has to be continually powered (no battery) which isn't a problem, but a blue light on the top blinks constantly. However, if you find it annoying you can just turn it upside down.

    • Timeout: the gateway is out of settings mode
Don't unplug it after it's set up or it becomes a paper weight. When it worked it was great. Had I known what I do now I would have powered it off a power bank and kept the power bank plugged in.
