After a lighting strike that destroyed our pool heater I realized that our heater that was put in last year is no longer make. So I set out to find a heater that could cover our 16x32 foot pool with a deep end. About 20K gallons. After searching for a while I came across the 140000BTU Varminpool heater. And was a little skeptical because the price was a lot lower than other heaters on the market. This unit will also cool your pool too! It is WIFI compatible and is easy to install and operate. Installation was quite easy with their supplied in and outlet adapters too. Now I have got to say, this is the best part. I did have an issue with my unit. I contacted Varminpool's service department and they assist the issue and took care of the problem. They were very responsive and quite friendly. They also followed up after everything was woking 100%. I totally recommend this company and the super quiet pool heat pump they produce. It's easily taking care of our pool temp needs. Don't be afraid of a good price it's not always a indicator of quality.

I’m very satisfied with this purchase. The installation was simple, and the heater started working without any issues. In my above-ground pool of approximately 6,000 gallons, it keeps the water at a very comfortable temperature while using very little electricity.The WiFi feature is very convenient because I can turn it on and adjust the temperature from my phone before using the pool. It’s also very quiet and feels well built.

I bought the Varminpool 35100. Great heater and works as expected, considering it's not a gas heater. Had an issue with losing wireless connectivity. Called customer support and they sent me a new display with instructions on how to change it. Great customer service who pretty much held my hand until my issues were resolved. Varminpool heaters are great.. I will continue to buy them when and if this one ever gives up. Thank you Varminpool. Just remember, you will need to get an electrician to setup a 240 volt outlet if you don't have one. Its not a plug in the wall for 240, so the electrician you hire has to set it up. After that, it's smooth sailing.

I ordered the VARMINPOOL 27,000 BTU Pool Heat Pump for 7,000-gallon pools back in September 2025 during Prime Days. I was able to install it myself despite having only limited plumbing experience. I’m extremely satisfied with the product. I ran a couple of tests here in Southern California, and it works wonderfully. I’m using it with our above-ground 5,000-gallon pool and was able to bring the water temperature up to summer levels in just 24–48 hours. It wasn’t cold yet during my October testing (Los Angeles area), but the heater performed exactly as advertised. Make sure your poop pump is a variable speed as the water needs to run slowly through the heater to get heated properly. My issue was that I was using a very fast single speed pump and the water didn't have time to heat when running though the Varmin heat pump. I replace ny pool pump with a variable speed one and run it at the lowest speed when using the heat pump and voila, it works like a charm :) At first, I had some issues getting the heater connected to my existing setup, and later it wasn’t behaving quite as I expected. I called Varmin’s support after seeing another customer mention that they received an adapter from the company. I can’t stress this enough: Varmin’s customer support is the best support service I have EVER dealt with. The representative I spoke with was incredibly nice, contacted the technical team on my behalf, responded immediately, and followed up daily (literally every single morning) until all my issues were resolved. This level of support is almost unheard of these days. In the end, they sent me an adapter to better fit my pool setup, and even after everything was fixed, they called back to offer a perfectly fitted winter cover for the heat pump with properly aligned inlet and outlet holes: all for free! There’s something truly special about this company: the great price point, the great design, and the absolute outstanding customer support. I highly recommend both the product and the company behind it. Thank you, Varmin, for the amazing experience!

I do not recommend this heater if you live in WI. I purchased the heater to get more use out of the pool as our summers are so short but it does not maintain set temp. I can only get the temp of the water around the high of the day.

This heater rocks!! Their customer service rocks even more!! We have a 5500 gallon Bestway above ground pool and it was a bit tricky to install but we got it done. Pool heats up within a few hours and keeps its temp.

Nice heater, easy to install, i got the 30000 btu model and it just hooks up to an outlet so thats a plus. so far i’ve had it up for about 30 hours or so and its heated my 7600 gallon pool from 63° to 80°. App is also very easy to connect to, only thing is it seems to disconnect from the app after a while, stays on though

Easy to install and extremely quiet. We installed this unit on a 15 X 30 oval shaped 54 inch deep above ground pool. Pool was 62° when installed. Our pool is uncovered currently has heated to 79° after three days. I believe this unit will maintain our set temperature when completely heated. My target is 88°. I will update my review as time goes on. I would recommend if you can afford to buy a larger unit you should. I knew upfront that the unit is slightly undersized for my pool. I would have given five stars, but the controls are difficult to see, and the app is not usable.
