I have purchased and used several different types of these kind of belts and all of which would either ride up or down which is a royal pain. This belt, with the width, stays in place and is so much more comfortable. Now, in saying that, I'm sure it depends on one's personal situation but in my case, it works well.

I have been wearing this belt 40 hours a week at work for a few months now and it is holding up well after 20+ washes. Easy to use and so comfortable! I wear it over a tank top, but under my uniform. It's not bulky at all. I can't live without it!

I had abdominal surgery last week and decided to get this binder because it was inexpensive and had extended sizing. This binder was crucial to me while I was in the hospital and offered me major relief. It stays put for a while but migrats up sometimes which can be annoying but not a big deal. Now that I'm home I still wear it constantly, especially when I go for walks or when it's time for me to go to bed. Overall I'm getting my money's worth and will continue to use it.

It’s large enough for my husband but it stunk so bad when we got it in. We had to air it out outside to get the fishy smell off of it. But it fits and works great to hold his hernia in. It doesn’t smell anymore.

This would probably be great for a man for me. It’s too large. So it slides up and down and all around. However, the Velcro is strong and I think for a man it would be great. My torso just is not long enough and I think I ordered the wrong item for my personal use as a woman who is 5’9”
