The bags arrived in good condition. They're in an outer zip bag. They were clean and had no off-putting odors The material is very sturdy, just like the name brand and higher quality after market ones. The sizes are typical and they seal very well. The seams are secure. There's a nice distribution of sizes. You get more of the middle size (70) than the large (30) or the small (50) which suits us and likely most users. One thing I particularly like is the pre-printed label area. It's a simple matter to label the bags for content and date and to check off -microwave, -freeze, -refrigerate and -sous vide if you choose. I use this type of bag a lot. I cook large batches and freeze smaller portions. I buy in bulk and store smaller amounts. These bags are ideal. I'll freeze squares of lasagna, soups, stock, all sorts of dishes. These are also really good for things that require oxygen-free storage like nuts, seeds, and whole grains. Vacuum packing extends shelf life and the compact size maximizes freezer space. One thing to be aware of is the small bag is pretty narrow and is better suited for single servings. Anything bulky may not fit. The photo had two 1/2 cup stock cubes and that's all it would hold. It would accommodate more of something like beans or berries that can be spread out. One thing I did not try was dry rice. Sometimes the combination of the pressure and sharp edges can make a small hole and you lose the seal. I've put anything 'sharp' inside a ziplock bag first (open) and seal that in the vacuum bag. That works for me. These bags are good quality and I'm looking forward to using them.

I got these bags for my GameSaver vacuum sealer because they are large gallon sized pre-cut bags which I needed to vac some hams and rib roasts bought in bulk, and these roasts are way to large to fit in my chamber vac (only about 4 inches of height clearance). These bags are very good quality, and a good thickness for the size of the bag. They worked perfectly in my GameSaver and sealed with no issues or flaws. I also really appreciate that there is a painted area for writing on the bag too. They came in a large ziplock bag, which is great, and much nicer than just an open bag or a box to store them in. The "bone guard" sheets included, while a nice idea. are a bit small (4.5"x5") and there are only a couple in a small package, and in an 11"x16" bag it is kind of limited for a lot of applications. Maybe they are intended to be washed and reused (no instruction provided) as two of them in a 200 bag package does not seem like enough. Overall, I recommend these bags for anyone needing a large amount of vacuumed storage.

I have an external vacuum sealer and found myself tossing out pieces of my bags that were simply too big. This assortment set means I'll do much less trimming and create less unneeded trash by using bags more appropriate to the size I need. These work great and have the texture required for a good vacuum. Seals fine using my machine. A bonus is the imprinted label area that helps show what's inside and/or the date...whatever I write on it. The included bone protectors are OK but I don't have much use for them. Overall, very happy with the assortment and quantity. Watch for a good discount code.

I have a Weston vacuum sealer I purchased in 2020. It gets used on a regular basis. When the local grocer has bulk packages of meat on sale I stock up and the vacuum sealed meat stays good for months in the freezer. I was using the Weston bags which work fine but noticed there were "budget" bags for sale on Amazon. I'm always a bit nervous about trying off brand, cheap products but figured I'd give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the Wevac bags were every bit as good as the more expensive option. They also have a "pre-tear" on the bottom side of the bag that makes opening (generally) a lot easier - no need to grab a knife or scissors. Occasionally I will have a bag that doesn't want to seal properly but that's usually because I have overfilled the bag. I've only had one time where the bag was no longer airtight when I took it out of the freezer and I figure that's a pretty good success rate. I've been using these bags for over 3 years now. Recommended.

I have a deep freeze freezer. It's just two of us here, and we shop at Costco a lot. So those giant packs of chicken breasts, cuts of fish, and beef get separated into servings, sealed in vacuum bags, and frozen. They last for years. Normal "frost free" freezers go through freeze and defrost cycles that damage food, while deep freezers (that accumulate ice on the insides) hold food near 0 degrees indefinitely. I've defrosted 3 year old fish and it's perfect. That's where these bags come in. If I just wrapped the meat in plastic, it wouldn't last the same. By sealing shut and taking the air out, the freezing process isn't as damaging. I don't know how or why it's so much better, but it is. These units are so worth it. Normally, I use rolls of the plastic bags, but having pre-sized bags is a huge time-saver, especially when I'm storing a dozen chicken breasts. Absolutely worth getting!
