We recently purchased this popcorn popper for a movie night birthday party, and it was an absolute hit! We like the machine, it works great and is easy to use. It pops the corn just great and we use it pretty frequently and haven't had any issues. I caution the cheap at heart, such as myself, who would dare to purchase the "like new" used model. After purchasing this popcorn machine I waited with baited breath and was filled with glee on the day of it's arrival, but was soon deflated like a week old balloon when I saw the condition of the box that looked like it had been kicked down the street by a rugby team and taped together by a nearsighted preschooler. Not judging a book by it's cover, I was undaunted and tore away at the ramshackled packaging to discover a sad sad popcorn popper that looked just as dilapidated as the sloppy packaging from which it was birthed. With 50% of the plexiglass housing cracked or completely broken, the obvious signs of multiple uses by the previous owner, including oil and popcorn husks littering the interior, it's safe to assume Richard Gere would not have had a second date with this not so pretty woman. Despite the fact that a canine in similar shape would have been euthanized out of pure mercy, I rolled up my sleeves and scrubbed the filth and obvious signs of trauma off this machine and showed it that love still exists in this sometimes cruel world and I am happy to report this machine is again capable of producing a fine batch of popcorn. ... show more

I bought this as a replacement for one I received as a gift 6 years ago. It still worked but has several long cracks in the plastic panels. For the price, this popper is an excellent purchase. I have used it almost weekly for the 6 years I've had it.
