We recently purchased this popcorn popper for a movie night birthday party, and it was an absolute hit! The media could not be loaded. This was one of the gifts I bought for my sister for her birthday. SHE LOVED IT!!! Demanded we plug it in immediately lol. The utensils came in handy, although it could have came with a place to sit them that could be folded up on the machine, but it does not which is why I gave it 4 stars. But we just use plates or napkins to sit them on. We used 2 scoops of both the oil and kernels and it makes a lot of popcorn. This is also a good idea for parties in general because endless popcorn means guest will have a snack that saves you money and it’s filling for the appetite. Also bought popcorn flavors. My favorite part is hearing the sizzle before it starts to pop. Had no problems out of the box and set up was easy. The price at $49.99 is also exceptional. Works great! Highly recommended! Makes fair size batches and doesn’t take too long. Machine is smaller than picture appearance but it’s a great size for kitchen and to put away when not in use. Plastic seems flimsy but the pan is solid. Easy to clean. Very quiet other than the popping of course. For theater popcorn flavor you must use popcorn oil and/or popcorn coconut oil butter flavor; but the key ingredient is Flavacol. My recommendation is: 3/4 cups of kernels, 1.5 tbs popcorn coconut butter, 1 tbs popcorn oil, 1/2 tbs Flavacol seasoning- all in the pan at once and turn on. Turn off when popping stops. Chef’s kiss. Flavacol is very salty, so a little goes a long way. ... show more
