Since opening, this quesadilla maker has received almost daily use. It toasts perfectly and usage is easy. I also have had no problems cleaning it. The only consideration that was made was to request the company to make a 12" quesadilla maker. Most of the quesadillas we purchase are of the larger size and we have had to make accommodations to search for 10" to fit the product. ... show more

This product is easy to use and worked well right out of the box. When making more than one quesadilla, the lid does get hot but that was noted in the directions so no big deal. My only issues are that there is no on/off switch or automatic off, which means you have to remember to unplug it each time. And the latch doesn't work with thicker quesadillas, which probably means I'm overfilling them but they don't seem to be too thick, so not sure on the usability of the latch. I have to say I didn't expect much out this - but it totally worked great! Spray with a little oil, put the tortilla shell into the pan and close. It takes about 12-15 minutes to get a really good and crispy one. Maybe a tiny bit longer with the keto tortillas. Laugh as you might, but I actually love this thing! I made a few ahead and warmed them in the oven so we could have several people making taco salads at once. It's just fun and effective. I do recommend this if you like taco salad shells! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Easy to use! I don’t use the timer light, it’s not long enough for me personally. I prefer keeping my flour tortilla shells in for a total of 6-7 minutes, which is longer than the built in timer light which is 1-3 minutes. Makes it crispy enough to break off and dip into the taco salad :)!

I used large tortilla to try it out. My first time it wasn’t crispy enough so I will have to play with it to get the tortilla I like for my taco salad. But it did work.
