  • Quality product
Style: 3600 Max PSI
First of all, it was delivered quicker than i was told originally. It was packaged well and there was no damage to the Pressure washer. Assembly was easy. You get the exact amount oil for it. I saved the container for ease of measuring when it is due for its oil changes. First start took a few pulls, but after that is started first pull and ran well for the hour plus i used it. It has good power and is easy to use. I bought the 3600 btw. The pressure hose is 35ft which is nice and good quality who says bigger isn't better? Doesn't kink up and was easy to coil up when i was done. I just purchased this machine. So this is all based on right out the box. ... show more

  • Just as advertised
Style: 3600 Max PSI
Just as advertised. Excellent power. Wish the wand storage arm would hold the wand more securely, but no big deal. Just noticed the unit seems to be leaking oil. I'll have to take a closer look tomorrow.

  • Won't start - Good information here....... READ ME
Style: 3800 Max PSI
After lots of researching for pressure washers, I selected the Westinghouse WPX3800 Pressure Washer. It had 15,000 review, almost all of them 5 stars. 4 places offered it, Tractor Supply, Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon. Tractor Supply was $30 cheaper, and only 3 miles from my house. It was early in November, but I decided to wait until after Thanksgiving to see if there would be a Black Friday sale. A few days later, I decided to just go ahead and buy it anyway. By that time, HD, Lowes, and TSC had all dropped it, and Amazon was the only one still selling it. Hmm, interesting..... Ordered it, and it arrived on a Sunday morning at 6:30 am, 1 day early (kudos to Amazon for that). Assembly was easy, and I added an hour meter. It was difficult to start the first time, but seemed to run okay for 30 minutes. Had to shut it down to reposition hoses, and the thing hasn't started since. I'm pretty good with this kind of stuff, but no luck on this. Tried starter fluid. Pulled the plug. It was wet, so it was getting fuel, and had a spark, but wasn't a real strong spark. Replaced the spark plug, still no luck. I decided that I shouldn't have to screw with a brand-new pressure washer that was $729, so I initiated a return from Amazon. Of course, Amazon says that you can't return it. If it has fuel in it, it is a hazardous parcel. I think their no-return policy is to keep people from buying it, using it, then returning it. The first email I got from Amazon said that I could return it like it was a duplicate that had been sent by mistake, and that I would NOT be refunded anything. I called back and talked to a couple people, but eventually got it straightened out. I was refunded my $729 plus tax, and told I could keep it. Kudos to Amazon for standing behind a product that they sell. I'm sure they charged the manufacturer. So, I got a broken pressure washer out of the deal. It's a pretty simple engine, so I started digging into it. There's only a couple things that couple be wrong. Had to pull the engine off the cart to remove the cover and check the magneto clearance, but it was okay. Since the spark was kind of weak, I ordered a new coil for $20 plus shipping and tax ($27 total). It hasn't come in yet, and I'm not too optimistic that it will fix the problem. I saw where someone else had a similar problem, and Westinghouse sent them a new carb which solved the problem. I checked everywhere trying to find who makes the engine, to find a replacement carb, but no luck. I called Westinghouse to order a new carb, but they didn't have any in stock. I did find out the engine was made by Ducar, a company in.... wait for it... CHINA. A quick check around the internet, and this MIGHT be a Ducar DH270-X engine. Jack's Small Engines had a carb that looked to fit a Kohler which might be the same engine, but at over $100, I wasn't going to try it. These little carbs are usually under $30, which I'd pay if it would work. It's not worth screwing around with this engine though. It looks like spare parts, like motor mounts or even something simple like air filters, and of course the aforementioned carb down the line, just aren't available, or even LISTED by anyone. So, since Amazon refunded me my money, I can just go out and buy a new engine. I researched the pump, and it appears to be a triplex 3 piston axial cam aluminum head pump, part #90038, rated at 3800 psi/3.5 gpm. It specifically calls out the Honda GX270 engine. I had this engine on a previous pressure washer that I shared with a neighbor for over 20 years. It still started up easily, and parts were easy to find. My neighbor gave me $350 for my half of the old pressure washer (Yeah, I know☺), so I'll get the new Honda engine, bolt it to this pump. Might have to drill new mounting holes, but that's not a big deal. The PW from Northern Tool with the Honda GX270 and a comparable pump is $1000. I'll be in for $300. So, in a nutshell, STAY AWAY from this PW. You might luck out and get one that runs, but there are no parts available for future servicing. EDIT: Amazon refunded my money, and let me keep it. It' very mechanically minded (a car guy actually). I tried to find a replacement carb for this. Nope. The carb is a Huayi P23, which is impossible to find. I bought another carb that looked similar, but the arm for the throttle is installed backwards on this carb compared to every other carb available out there. I'll be giving this engine away, or throwing it away. Maybe someone can reuse the pump. ... show more

  • 5 star all the way!
Style: 3600 Max PSI
Works great! Very easy to assemble. My wife uses the power washer with ease. It starts right up with no issues at all! The first time we used it, we cleaned our sidewalk and driveway. Our neighbor had theirs professionally cleaned 3 days prior, and where our sidewalks connect, there is no difference. Our power washer performed just as well as a professional's! ... show more

  • So far very good 4.5 stars
Style: 3600 Max PSI
Box came a little banged up but the Pressure Washer was in great shape. Add included oil, set engine to run, set choke on, move gas lever to on and she started on the first pull. Very powerful. The different attachments are nice. Only issue was after running for a while I noticed two screws from the pump housing wiggling themselves off. I tightened them down with a 10mm socket but I would recommend going around and double checking all bolts are tight. I've started it up about 5 times so far and no issues and no leaks (Triplex pump is the best from my research). I will update the review before putting away for winter ... show more

  • Don't Buy One Until You Read This!
Style: 3600 Max PSI
My pressure washer does not work. The motor runs fine, but there is no pressure. I contacted Westinghouse and the tech support person elevated my case to the tier 2 team. It took 2 weeks, 5 emails, and removing the pump to determine the factory failed to install a part on the driveshaft (the key) that connects the motor to the pump. This is why there is no pressure. Hard core manufacturing defect. They recommend I take it back where I purchased it and exchange it for a new one. Amazon will NOT accept returns on this item! If I had bought this anywhere else, I would have a new pressure washer now. Instead, I had to drive an hour and a half to take the pressure washer to a warranty repair center and it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get it repaired. Be warned this type of manufacturing defect is not usually isolated to one unit and there may be more in the Amazon warehouse with the same problem. Good Luck if you order one. This is a shame because this is the highest rate pressure washer on the market. I gave it a five rating so everyone could see this. ... show more
