  • Fast delivery, product exactly as described. Thank you.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Installed as a read only cache drive for my synology DS1621+ and it worked flawlessly.

  • WD top shelf for hard drives. But we will see for SSD

Price was ok. Working fine so far.

  • Purchased for Synology 920+ Works well.
Capacity: 500GB
I purchased 2 of the 500GB for my Synology 920+ running DSM7 Easy tool-less installation. Decided to use only ONE of them in READ mode for my Calibre and Plex libraries as well as Docker images. Noticeably faster load up of art work which is important for the Media room experience. Movies will not see any speed boost - as why would they? But the artwork loading is quick and very noticeable once cached. Synology WILL complain when you set up the Cache as there are no WD products in the Synology "compatibility" chart. Don't now if this is due to a failed business agreement or whatever, however it will work. I have 15TB of storage, and the Single 500GB NVMe SSD is more than enough. I will likely move the other one to another NAS, or into my computer. i likely could have gotten away with a 256GB NVMe SSD but room to grow is always good. Please note that the Synology Read/Write cache mirror set up has caused some people grief in the past, so please do your own research on this before doing it. Personally I don't feel the need. ... show more

  • Very Excited to have WD Red SSD's available
Capacity: 4TB
I've purchased a number of WD Red SATA drives 4/TB and was happy with them, so I decided to take the plunge on the WD Red NVME 4/TB drives, too. Not the most expensive option, but it offers the highest TBW rating of any 4TB drives but a huge margin. I have these running in my QNAP NAS U.2 slots for higher throughput I/O for an ESXi Home Lab offering up iSCSI LUNS and CIFS volumes. Having lost a number of hard drives over the years to the dreaded 3year death grip I'm always looking to purchase higher quality HDD's (WD Black) and higher quality SSD's (WD Red). Thank you Western Digital for offering the higher quality products. ... show more

  • In a Synology NAS -- no fuss, no issues...
Capacity: 250GB
This went into a Synology NAS just fine. The Synology OS will throw an 'uncertified' error your way to try and persuade you to buy their own brand...but it will work fine. Hit rate to the SSD is very high, so it is definitely accelerating things in workloads.

  • Great addition to my NAS
Capacity: 4TB
With my current project, l am modifying and moving a large amount of data to/from my NAS. This SSD helps keep the transfer rate high.

  • Good for Synology NAS
Capacity: 500GB
Got two 500G version in my Synology NAS 1522+ as read and write cache. There was a general warning that it was not on the compatibility list during the initial setup, but everything works fine afterwards. I edit 4K videos directly in the NAS, and let's see how stable the SSD as read/write cache will be. Update on August 13 2023: only after about one week, Synology NAS degraded the SSD cache and also suggested to replace the defective SSDs, so I have to remove the SSDs and return them. Then I did some research about SSD cache of Synology NAS. Read cache is OK, but write cache should be avoided if you can even with Synology SSDs. ... show more
