- Usage note 2: It is difficult to heat the liquid to boiling state during stirring, as the stirred liquid will continuously dissipate heat. It is recommended to stop stirring when heating, or use a sealed container to heat and stir to obtain boiling liquid. Please note that there are no thermometers and support rods in our packaging.

Finally, a simple, well designed, stir plate, that actually works! I like everything about this plate, the size is perfect, doesn't take up much space, control knob is solid, and the best part, it doesn't seem to hang up the magnets like so many do, and it's powerful. And all at a great price! If I had to nitpick, I'd prefer a power cord to the USB cord, as everyone has so darn many of those stupid things lying around already. I returned the $170 Northern Brewing Maelstrom plate, as it just didn't work very well. This one works MUCH better at a fraction of the price. For the 5 gallon home brewer, this is all you'll ever need.

I am a full time traveling photographer who shoots 99% of my work on film. I make and mix my own chemicals and this little compact stirrer makes things so much easier! It is weirdly powerful and has worked beautifully over the few weeks I've used it thus far. Quiet and small enough to take anywhere. I love that it is USB powered as I can literally plug it in virtually anywhere. If this was a heated unit it would be absolutely perfect. Great product.

very strong and fast stirrer. I have tried another stirrer and 2 other self stirring cup, this is the one to win them all! if you are looking for a aesthetic pleasing, and strong stirring plate. Buy this! Pro: - Strong / come with strong magnet - Look good on your desk Con: - Manual said you have to unplug between use, an On/Off button for the power plug would be nice.

Great, fully working magnetic stirrers. I was looking for small magnetic stirrers in order to work on small batches and I am pleased with them because I can actually work with small glass beakers (5 and 10ml). Overall a great experience. I recommend them.
