Seems great so far, but I've only had mine for a couple months and I've only used it a few times. One great feature is that the stirring seems to be intelligent enough to slowly increase the stirring rate or to temporarily decrease the stirring rate if you're mixing something viscous or chunky. The ones we have at work don't do this so if something interrupts the stir bar it launches off into one corner of the vessel and you have to turn the stirring and slowly turn it up again. This product is great in that you can turn the stirring on and walk away knowing that it'll be stirring 10hrs later when you get back. The "problem" with rating products like these is that you never really know what rating to give them until it's far too late to actually rate them. The products that my work buys for the lab are at least 5x more expensive, but we expect them to last for 20 years. In the short term I can confirm that this works just as well as the professional ones we buy for work. I'll take good care of it and see how it's working in 20 years!

The device itself looks pretty good and works fine both as explained and as you would expect. What is fascinating about it is the professionalism in the after sale service which is quite important in this field. The seller missed shipping a part of the device, without me asking, they contacted me to apologize and shipped the missing part directly to me. After few weeks of using, and because of some minor fault in the device, they shipped a whole new device for me. I'm enjoying it both as a steerer and as a heater. Strongly recommended

I'm an at-home amateur chemist; I mix herbal medicines that I send out to a real lab for analysis before using. I want some precision and ease when I'm heating and mixing and this hotplate/mixer is incredible for my purposes. It's nearly silent, the controls are digital, easy to use (stuck in Celcius but I'm over it), and the magnetic mixer ramps up to the chosen speed (I didn't expect that). The clamp rod is sturdy and the whole thing feels right out of a professional laboratory. The external temperature probe is essential when I'm using an oil-bath for precise heating, and while sometimes I quibble a bit about discrepancies between the hotplate's readings and my other thermometers, I'm not needing more precision anyways. Honestly, I didn't know how much I need this and now I won't live without it. I bought a different hotplate/mixer as backup; it cost half the price, and was without the temp probe or digital controls. I returned that one gratefully and now if I need a backup I'll buy another one from ONiLAB. I hope this helps you!

I've been using this for about 6 months, making cosmetic formulas. I bought 2 units. I tested them with external thermometers and found one of them wasn't heating properly. The company promptly replaced it. I find that the units will heat to the desired temperature, but the speed at which this happens depends on the content of the solution. Water doesn't heat as fast as oil, for instance. If I want to heat quickly I can turn the temperature to the highest setting and watch the unit to see when the correct temperature is reached. Or I can set to the desired temperature and wait longer. I also discovered that I needed to push really hard to properly connect the thermometer cable to the unit. This company does make a higher-end more sensitive until, which I have just purchased, as well. Update: I also purchased the ONiLAB 340C Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer with Aluminum Work Plate. I prefer it because it allow me more control over the heating function. "A" allow quicker heating with less accuracy, which is fine if I can monitor the solution. If I don't want to have to monitor the heating, the "C" option heats slowly but accurately. The "B" option is in the middle. I use both of these hotplates, but I use the 340C version most.

Generally - this is a hot plate with integrated stirrer - it feels stout and upon arrival does waht I expect it to do (stir and heat. Why I am writing this review is because of the customer service - in a world of excuses, they delivered. Short version - they we sold out of the model I ordered, so they upgraded the unit to the next bigger size and it arrived same day as expected for order. Truly not common anymore and SO appreciated. I plan to follow up after using the unit for a while to round out the quality piece - but an A+ in customer service.

Worked great for the first 3 uses. 4th use, magnetic stir motor no longer works and reads "error 8" (that's the "i'm broken please fix me" error). Leaving this 1-star review up temporarily in hopes of getting in contact with manufacturer. Emailed the address in the owners manual and now waiting for reply. We purchased this item new in June 2022 from amazon, so less than one year old and only used a handful of times. UPDATE: manufacturer shipped new unit to me asap. Waiting for the package now. Doesn't seem to be a problem experienced by everybody, so hopefully this company has great customer service!

This is very solidly built and has a superb ceramic coating on the hot-plate. I also like the solid little stand to hold the temp sensor. I was surprised it didn't include any magnetic stirring bars, but they are cheap. Controls for temperature-setting and stirring speed are simple and easy to use. Added later: After my review the seller immediately sent me several sets of stirring bars of different sizes without me asking. They may have forgotten to include them, or I may have lost the original ones in the packaging. In any case, I'm very happy with this purchase!
