May 30 2020 Review: Please help with two problems: 1. There was a problem with the orginal solar collector/batterie unit and you replaced it (Thank you). I was not able to install the unit until now. However, the remote control that came with the first unit does not work with the replacement unit. Question: Can the origingal remote be reprogramed to work with the replacement unit? If not, please provide me with a remote control that does. 2. I purchased a 84" smooth post from you on Aug. 26 2021 to mount the solar unit on. However, it turns out that it will be too short for location where it will be installed (Note: The orginal poll is still in its protective packaging). Can you sell me a longer post? Earlier Review: I just pruched this. I did not immediately install it because it cannot be put on my house (not enougth sun light) an it does NOT come with a long post. I just purchased a white traditional 7' burial lamp post that also is available on amazon.com (ASIN: B0038E7EZO).     • Kinda cheap made
Well to begin with, inspecting the light right out of the box I thought it looked kinda cheap. As I moved the light around looking at it, I could hear the battery rolling around in the compartment, it wasn’t secured, just a loose battery. After I mounted the light on the pole I noticed that a light breeze would make the big solar panel it has start flopping from side to side a little. My guess is the first 30 or 40 mph wind we have will make the solar panel set sail!! Adios!! As to whether it puts out 400 watts of light I just don’t think so! It’s ok, but I have some 120 watt floodlights that seem about as bright! I hope we get that blue norther blowing in here pretty quick so I can see what’s going to happen to it and get it sent back to Amazon as soon as possible, not much faith in it holding up! As far as I can see they all look about the same caliber made in the same part of the world! I love the idea of solar lights but there going to have to be built better than this to stand against our crazy weather! ... show more

It was quite easy to install out of the box. For my purpose I had to make a sleeve for my mounting pole and alter the mounting holes a little. One of the threaded inserts in the solar panel was buggered a little but I ran a tap thru and cleaned up the threads. Could be challenging if you are doing it yourself and not handy with tools. Brightness is pretty good but I am going to lower the pole to about 12' from 15' which I know will help. Longevity will be the real test otherwise I would recommend. ... show more

The Light is very nice it came with too nice solar panels the mounting bracket for solar panels is very weak I had to build a brace the wind will definitely pull it off if not! there is absolutely no motion detection option on this light whatsoever I'm not happy about that. I don't know how good the light will be seems to be bright I will leave another review in a few months!! ... show more

Purchased one of these and it failed under warranty. The company replaced it however about a year later this one failed as well.I am not happy with the quality of this product and cant seem to get ahold of the company for help. I would advise against buying this light as reliability seems to be poor. Hoping I can find another more reliable product. ... show more
