I absolutely love this jacket! It's really nice quality, but if you're looking for a lighter jacket I wouldn't recommend this. I wanted a thicker cargo jacket and this is exactly what I was hoping for! It's not heavy, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's a lightweight jacket either. I love that the hood is detachable, too. The only drawback is that the medium is too big, but the small is a little too small. I have broader shoulders so I usually need a medium, but the waist and arms are too big. The small fits everywhere, except it's a little tight in the shoulders if I raise my arms in the air. I ended up keeping the small, because I was looking for more of a fitted look.

Update: I decided to exchange to Xl and it fits perfect, it’s simply beautiful, just what I was looking for. I am 195pnds and 5’2 Please if you buy this beautiful jacket buy your normal size, I listened to the comments saying it was tight and not is big in me. I feel lazy to return it but I think Xl would have fit perfect. Now I have this over sized jacket because I went with 2Xl , am normally a size 16 in dress so xl would have fit good with a thin cardigan underneath. But leaving that aside this is beautiful not too thick perfect weight and very comfortable I love it.

This is a good looking jacket and better quality than I expected. Here's my take: Negatives: I don't know who sized it, but they had a capricious imagination. Somehow it works. It runs a little small, no matter what previous reviewers may have said. Not a lot, a little, so be aware when you order. The sleeves are somehow long, but I've got long arms, so I'm fine with that. It doesn't seem to be quite as warm as I'd expected, but fine with two layers. We just had a sudden drop-off in temperature, so maybe that's it. Positive: You can cinch the waist a little so you avoid that cold weather coat sausage look. It has knit cuffs to keep out the wind on your wrists. When did you last have a reasonably priced coat with that? The hood will help. I am not a thin person and it looks good on me. Do it for yourself!

Nice jacket for the $. It does run larger than your normal size. Nice material but seems a little bit heavier than I expected for a "spring " jacket. Had to return to get a smaller size. I am 5'4" and weigh about 124 lbs and am of average build.

I have a J.Crew field jacket that I love but needed to replace. To my delight and surprise, this amazon version was the perfect replacement! I had my doubts about the fabric and weight but it's a sturdy, strong fabric that's durable to pulling, scraping, wetness, and heavy activity. It's all stitched together in good quality and I didn't have any issues while travelling in high density public transportation in rainy weather for 2-weeks. My favorite part is the oversize hoodie that had great coverage from humid/wet weather and gives a lot of breathing room to my head and hair space (yes, this matters when you have thick, wavy hair that gets crazy with humidity). He only thing I can comment as a CON was the wrist area. The fabric is so nice and thick that it was almost a little too warm. But this probably won't keep me from purchasing again. Highly recommend.
