The bulbs on these outdoor string lights are made of plastic rather than glass, which helps to make the bulbs shatterproof. The string lights come with a remote control, which is convenient. There are eight vibrant colors and three modes to choose from. These string lights are dimmable, and can create a lovely patio or balcony atmosphere for a variety of occasions. The string is 48 feet long, but there are only 15 light bulbs, so the gaps between lights are wider than they should be. The media could not be loaded. These LED string lights are waterproof for outdoor use and are constructed with heavy duty cabling and sockets. The bulbs can be replaced and there is one extra bulb included for future use if needed. There is a power/mode button on the large power plug for selecting between the 8 different colors available. There is also an included remote control that can also be used to select between the different colors but also 6 extra different modes which cycle through all the colors and include 2 fades, 2 jumps, a flash and an auto mode. The remote also has a dimmer and speed option available. There are two issues I have with these lights though. The first is that the lights are all the same color per mode with no multi color option, other than the extra 6 modes which cycle through the colors one at a time. Also, these lights do not have Smart technology built into them so the modes and color options are limited. If you just need simple to use colored LED string lights with no multi color modes or Smart technology these would be a great option especially for the price. ... show more
