    • Invaluable equipment for moving heavy or unwieldy furniture.
We purchased the dollies to move heavy furniture out of some rooms in our house to prepare for painting those rooms. Normally, two of us would carry the furniture ourselves, doing some minor damage to walls and flooring. The dollies are easy to use and avoid heavy lifting--no wall or floor damage. We will never carry the furniture again. The dollies are easy to maneuver, even when using both on a large furniture item. The wheels are sturdy, made of plastic yet did no damage to our floors. We do not have items heavy enough to verify the load capacity (1320 pounds), but some of our items are on the order of 200 pounds. The dollies were sturdy enough for all our items. The most difficult items to move were adjustable-height desks. Our doorways are narrow enough, and the hallways have some sharp turns, that we cannot move the desks through them in the normal orientation for the desks. However, if the desks are tilted so that the long dimension is in the direction from floor to ceiling, we can get them through the doorways. When maneuvering the desks onto the dollies in the required orientation, the desk legs were on the dolly but the desk-top surface was still on the floor; that is, the desk-top extends past the desk legs far enough that the distance exceeds the height of the dollies. To remedy this, we were able to place a 1.5-inch-by-4-inch wooden board on one side of the dolly, long enough board so it was supported by the gray-rug portions on the dolly. Then we angled the desk onto that board. The board added enough thickness that the legs rested on the board and the desk-top surface did not touch the floor. Even with this hack, the dollies were still maneuverable in a safe manner. I did not rate the "easy to assembly" topic because there is no assembly.
