These are great glasses and everything looks noticeably more vivid and sharp when wearing them. The polarization cuts glare extremely well and makes a big difference outdoors, especially around water or in bright sun. Clarity is excellent with crisp detail and natural color without distortion. They are light weight, comfortable to wear for long periods and fit well without pressure points. Build quality feels high end and what I expect from Costa. These sunglasses are adorable and surprisingly sturdy for the price. My 5 year old and my 6 year old niece both tried them on, and the size fits that preschool–early elementary age range perfectly. They’re super lightweight, which is actually nice because they don’t slide down or leave marks on the nose. The colors are bright and cute for kids who like fun accessories. They don’t feel like something that will last forever, but definitely good enough for party favors, classroom prizes, or to throw into a backpack for everyday use. I like that the hinges open smoothly and aren’t too stiff for little hands. If you’re looking for affordable, wearable sunglasses for small kids, these get the job done.

These were a birthday gift for my son and they ended up being a perfect pick. He’s super picky about glasses (fit, feel, everything), but these fit him really well and he actually wanted to wear them. We took them out fishing together and the polarized lenses made a big difference with glare off the water - he could see better and wasn’t squinting the whole time. They’re lightweight, comfortable - seem tough enough for a kid to handle without me stressing. A little pricey for kids sunglasses, but they feel like the real deal that'll last for years easily.

I am not a fashionista and don't buy anything based solely on the brand it has stamped on it. I can't imagine why these shades are $100 more than the ones I wear, when I look through them and the optical quality is the same. Must be a fashion thing. These ARE well-built and look nice, however. I think my son might be a little young to wear them still, as he almost immediately takes them off (or parks them on his forehead, like a veteran sunglasses user would do). He definitely looks cooler when wearing them than not, so I guess these pass that test. Basically, I think these are definitely quality shades, but I can't justify the price increase just for a name brand. That said, if you like this brand and paying for their logo is worth it to you, can't go wrong on the mechanical side of the equation.

These are a sunglass for bigger kids, and Costa is long the leader in the industry for polarization. The reflective on the lens is good, and the hinges are durable like you would expect from a pair of CDM. I'm a guy who normally wears lenses in that 55-58mm range, and these are big enough for that. I can wear them without them looking odd, but they're perfect for my teenager giving him another set of high-quality sun protection.
