First know that I don't often write reviews, here or anywhere else but I'm making an exception given the dichotomous character of this product. This purchase was aided by an elaborate Amazon review stating that the unit has 23 W and keeps the coffee warm. It was intended to replace my previous unit which degraded over time and could no longer satisfy me. The box contained a mug and the warmer. The mug arrived broken in countless pieces but the warmer appeared to be OK. It was as described on the website a 23 Watt unit and it is made in China. I wanted to test it before I used it to keep coffee warm and I placed on it my own thick wall mug containing about 6 oz of cold water. Turned the unit on with the intent to check back in a few minutes but I forgot it. I finally checked back in about 15 minutes and I was quite surprised to find that the water had warmed up to the point where it was almost uncomfortable to keep my finger in it. I suspect that the unit is conservatively rated. Nothing scientific here, no Vernier gauges,no water thermometers, no stopwatches no plate surface temperature measurements, no Watts multimeters. I have all the tools and know how to use them well but this was not a science project. I just wanted to know if I can rely on it to keep my coffee warm, simple and period. I'm reporting that it does the job very well. Am I happy with it? Yes I'm happy with the function but I'm not happy with how it is constructed. It has nothing to prevent it from sliding on the table though I will add my own rubber tabs. It is quite light and you'll have to relax the old style cable to keep it from moving around. The connector plug is the old style two prong. Other reviewers have also reported broken mugs upon arrival and how helpful the vendor was in replacing them. I call nonsense here since the leaflet clearly states that first one must obtain a RA, include $6 for return shipping and also pay for the shipping to the vendor. Still, wishing to be true and correct I called the number given on the leaflet and was told that Salton went out of business ten years ago and that there are no mugs or warmers available to the company processing the calls. I am keeping the unit because for now it does the job but I'll continue looking for a high quality cup warmer. ... show more

I've only had this for a couple months or so but it is so far a wonderful frying pan. Well made, heats evenly and the non-stick surface works great. I like that it's completely smooth inside with no visible connectors that food can get stuck around, so it cleans easily. I would definitely purchase again. ... show more

The warmer is great for its intended purpose… it totally keeps my coffee nice and hot for as long as I have it (sometimes up to a couple hours). For that I give it five starts! However, I did deduct a star for two reasons: 1. The bottom of the unit has little feet that are pretty slippery. I added some rubber bumpers to the bottom but they aren’t staying on very well… I have to keep reattaching and adjusting them so the warmer does not slide around (or off) my desk. 2. There was a very peculiar smell of the unit which seemed to radiate into my coffee. I have had the unit for a couple weeks and the smells seems to be subsiding so hopefully will diminish completely soon. ... show more

I really like this pan. I usually buy the typical Teflon black pan. I took a chance with this one. Coated with stone? Well I am pleasantly surprised! This is my favorite pan to cook with. I have used it 3 times already. Cooks nicely and very easy to clean. Very nice looking too.

This kettle is fast and efficient. Gone are the days where one had to sit for approximately 10 minutes waiting for water to heat up on a conventional stove top. This kettle gets the job done in less than half the time on a small induction cook top that I keep in my room. It is easy to use. My only complaint is that due to the shape of the handle, you have to rotate your wrist a bit further to pour water out. Though it might be for some, this is not a huge deal for me and, thus, not worth detracting a star from this review. I did not experience the aforementioned problem of a hot handle. As long as the lid is closed tightly, there shouldn't be an issue. This is a good looking induction kettle and it does its job quite well. I recommend it to the avid tea drinker. ... show more

Initial 2 star review: Received the white mug and warmer(hot spot II) ahead of delivery date. The shipping box was undamaged. The packing box had minor cosmetic damage as stated in the ad by the seller. No ceramic chips found in the packed box. The plain white MUG was chipped in TWO places and one was on the rim of the mug...rendering it useless. Also the white paint has three noticeable black spots of I don't know what? that has been glazed over. One of the spots are on the handle making it unpleasant to view. I have contacted the seller through Amazon and am awaiting response. The warmer itself appears to be undamaged and heats to a good warm temperature. IF the mug is replaced and shipped to me at no further cost ..I will upgrade my review stars. Also of interest, although I paid $29.95(plus five bucks for shipping) for it...it had a sticker on the bottom of the box that said: Kauffmans $12.99 and the date was 1992!!! UPDATE 3/20/2-14: I would like to upgrade my review from 2 to 5 stars as a result of the excellent customer service that I received after a complaint regarding the chipped mug. I received an email response promptly and also received a replacement mug in perfect condition a week after their first email response. The warmer also performs perfectly as of this date. THANK YOU.
