The chain guard ends up being a nuisance if you want to access the chains for a repair because the guard is nearly impossible to take off. We ended up cutting it off and doing away with it completely. In addition, the front tire popped pretty quickly (what else do you expect from grass riding wild 6 year olds), which was fixed by adding tire slime to both tires. So, with a few tweaks, this bike has become pretty awesome. If you buy it, absolutely put the slime in the tires (we bought ours at wal mart) and you’ll be good to go. ... show more

    • Check tires thoroughly for integrity when product received
Bike came as described and assembly was easy. The bike is a little heavy, but for the price it is a good deal. I used this bike for a 15 mile leg of a short triathlon and the front tire lost air during the ride immediately. Now the front tire will not hold air (very slow leak). I will be taking it to get serviced and checked for leak / integrity. This was a large detriment to me physically and mentally during my race. I don’t know if this tire was faulty to start or if the beginning of the race introduced a foreign object, but I was not happy with the tire. I will likely upgrade both tires to a better product that can withstand more loading and higher pneumatic pressure for a more rigorous bike ride and outdoor exposure. ... show more

    • Decent cheap bike with minor upgrades

Make sure to check brakes and derailleur settings. Cheap derailleur broke twice so I upgraded. Tires are super thin and front tire pops easily as other reviews noted. I replaced the front wheel with a gravel bike wheel. Probably need to replace the rear one also, especially if you weigh over 200 lbs. Other than that it rides well for the cost. TX800 derailleur is only $20 and worth the upgrade. Get hanger clips also. Decent bike after upgrades ... show more
