I have purchased 3 ....It is so well made very comfortable just the right weight added to it and can be used for any part of the body. And yes it does work very well. I would not go back to a heating pad after using a far infrared.

    • Soothing and relaxing
The heating pad is a little stiff when you first start using it, but it relaxes with multiple uses. The cover has a zipper, so you can remove it from the heating pad for washing. They recommend washing it in cold water on the gentle cycle - air dry only. It's easy to put the cover back on after washing. The heating pad is held in place with 2 snaps (if desired) plus the weight helps keep it from shifting. I was happy to feel that the neck part of the heating pad heats up in addition to the shoulders. The controller is easy to read and use. You can adjust the heat from 104 degrees to 149 degrees with 6 different temperature settings. I don't think it actually reaches 149 degrees as it didn't feel that warm at the highest setting. The timer can be set for 30 min, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 2.5 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours, 7 hours, and 8 hours. The cord clicks in place on heating pad, so no accidentally pulling the cord from the heating pad. ... show more

There are very few products I love and this is one of them! My shoulders get very tight and painful, this pad has helped exponentially. The fabric is soft and keeps its softness after washing. The timer goes up to 8 hr. the heat levels up to 6. The weighted material molds nicely, not only over shoulders, but tummy and legs, if needed. I love this product!!! Highly recommend for most customers, but don’t recommend it for the frail and elderly as it’s a bit heavy. ... show more
