Description

Restyled for 2014, the Weber Q 220 is now the Weber Q 2200. The grill has the same great performance and sleek styling, but adds new aesthetics that are both functional and fun, including larger grip handle and control knobs, ergonomic side handles, sturdy front and rear cradles, larger-sized fold-out side tables with greater rigidity plus the familiar Weber Q logo prominently branded in the lid. Split grates allow for a grate/griddle cooking combination: Just replace one of the grates with the Q 2000-series compatible griddle (sold separately) and experience an alternative way to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner on your grill. The tall lid accommodates the grilling of small roasts and birds, while the large built-in thermometer allows you to monitor temperatures inside the grill. The Weber Q 2200 is ideal for use when camping and tailgating but, thanks to a design that offers both compact overall size and large grilling surface, can double as a stationary grill in your outdoor living space. The grill runs on disposable LP cylinders (not included), but an optional LP adapter hose for 20-lb. tanks is available as an accessory. A seamless stainless steel burner is your assurance of durability and long-lasting performance. The cast-aluminum lid and body are both lightweight and rugged. May be used with Weber Portable Cart model 6557 and Q Cart model 6525.Fuel type : Liquid Petroleum Gas (disposable cartridge sold separately).

  • Perfect for home and camping
Style: Weber Q 2200 Gas Grill, Titanium
We typically use a charcoal grill but occasionally want to BBQ more quickly i.e. not wait for the coals to be ready, so a propane grill was needed. After considerable research we selected the Weber Q2200. Great decision. The Q2200 is fantastic. Typical high quality product of Weber produces great tasting meat - creates a nice sear. Heats fast, easy to control and with two separate grills is easy to clean. Not too heavy to carry should you want to take it camping. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • What is the world coming to?
Style: Weber Q 2200 Gas Grill, Titanium
Not sure what's going on with the negative reviews about the "assembly" that is required for this. If you own a Phillips screwdriver and understand which end of it you hold and which end goes into the screw, the "assembly" is easy. However, if you are the type that will more than likely poke your eye out with the screwdriver, then maybe cooking with open flame isn't a wise idea after all. The "assembly" consists of: 1. attaching the handle to the front of the lid using 2 Phillips head stainless steel screws and 2 spacers. You don't need a wrench, the nuts are molded into the handle. Remember, righty-tighty, lefty-loosy. Do not poke screwdriver into your eyes. Have someone standby with a phone to call 911 just in case you accidentally do. 2. attach the thermometer to the lid. It's keyed and the attachment uses a wing nut. If operating a wing nut is beyond your capabilities, seek professional help. 3. Insert two pins in the hinge points between the lid and lower section. Putting the round peg in the round hole is about as easy as it gets. Again, if you have trouble here, don't use matches or propane. 4. Insert "hairpins" in the holes on the end of the pins to keep them in place. Don't poke your eye out with the pins. Do not swallow pins. 5. Insert battery (included) and twist the top on the ignitor button. Button on battery goes into the BBQ,the flat end goes into the button. Do not eat the battery. 6. Hard part here: Remove the two piece grill top from the box and place them side by side on the BBQ. Honestly folks, it took me longer to cut up the box and put it in the recycling bin than it took to assemble this thing. If you are not at all mechanically inclined, don't own a Phillips screwdriver, and/or don't have two fingers that you can use to turn a wing nut, then you probably should either buy one pre-assembled from a local store, or hire a neighbor to do it for you. -- As for the "invisible flame" complaints, propane burns pretty clean. The flame is not invisible, it's blue and it's not really that big. If you light this thing and it gets hot, well, there ya' go. If you are expecting large yellow/red flames to erupt forth from the barbecue, you will be disappointed. These barbecues work very well. My dad has owned one for years and I've done a few tri-tips, skirt steaks, etc. with it. They heat evenly. Keeping the lid closed will help. In fact, his worked so well, he bought a second one to keep with his camper. I bought this one after years of seeing his work so well. They are fairly light and easily portable. They are also built quite well. But, seriously, they do require absolute minimal assembly. If you suspect that is beyond your capabilities, then you really need to find a local store that will assemble it for you. However, it's not difficult. If you honestly do not own a Phillips screwdriver, here, let me google that for you: https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-60-002-Standard-Phillips-Screwdriver/dp/B00009V430/ref=sr_1_6?s=power-hand-tools&ie=UTF8&qid=1536105960&sr=1-6&keywords=phillips+screwdriver ... show more

  • A great portable grill with virtually no flaws.
Style: Weber Q 2200 Gas Grill, Titanium
A solid Weber product that was purchased as the primary cooking tool for our new RV. Putting the product together is a snap. The shelves are already attached, you pretty much just attach the handle and the thermometer, and stick the grates in the grill. It is a single burner grill that is well placed in the housing to allow for even cooking anywhere on the grates. The electric start is quick and the single heat control knob is accurate and secure. I purchased the adapter hose to be able to use a 20 lb. tank of propane and have a couple of the 1 lb. canisters in the event of an unexpected main-tank shortage. Cooking performance, for such a small grill, is exceptional. Its get up to about 300 degrees very quickly, and takes a bit longer to get up to 500-550. But, a 10-15 preheat period will get you there. I cook Costco chicken breasts for about 15 minutes on high and they come out perfectly juicy with a slight crispiness on the edges, which is how my wife likes them. A word of caution, don't dilly-dally when you are flipping your food, since the housing is aluminum instead of cast iron to save weight, it doesn't retain heat as well as a full-size Weber product - one of the trade-offs for a portable grill and not something you can really ding. Flip it quick and shut the grill. I like diamond-pattern grill marks, so I rotate chicken at about 3 or so minutes and flip at about 7 minutes. Once I have started cooking, the temperature still stays between 400-500 even with multiple lid-ups to flip/rotate. One thing I would have liked to see would be built-in slots to hang grilling tools on the shelves. Speaking of the shelves, they are strong enough to handle any amount of food that you are going to grill. I have read some reviews that state the shelves are wobbly and not strong. Are you grilling bricks or barbells? I have had a big plate of chicken on one shelf and flat of Costco steaks on the other. Nope, you can't stand on the shelves but they perform well for all reasonable people. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a portable grill or does not have room on their patio for a full-sized Weber gas grill. ... show more

  • Hard working, accurate temp gauge, have cooked easily for 6 adults
Style: Weber Q 2200 Gas Grill, Titanium
Great quality. This is our second grill of this type from Coleman. Loved the first one, love this one even more. Loads of room for a compact grill. Great plates. Easy to put together. Fits on our older Coleman stand. The “wings” hold a lot of extras.
