This is the 3rd or 4th brand of keypad lock I've used, and it's by far the quietest. Once it's put into "Silent mode", that is. You *must* change the default admin code to your own before you can turn Silent on or off (the instructions don't highlight this). But once turned on, even the latch mechanism is barely audible. It was very easy to install replacing an existing interior lockset, and works quite well. It does take a bit of getting used to, with the keypad embedded in the outside handle - I tend to mash the keys while gripping the handle to open it. But I'm adapting to it. There's a real key to unlock it if you forget the passcodes, and a USB port to power it if the batteries go dead. Time will tell on the durability issue, but all-in-all, this is the best keypad lockset I've seen so far. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is not some lightweight piece of junk, this is some serious heavy duty lock. I had decided that my front door needed an upgrade to the security and this was part of it, my old door was 50 years old (or older) and the holes did not match up correctly but a call to a local carpenter and it was all good (I have no carpentry skills) but I can hardly wait to get it installed and upgrade my security. 5 Stars for a really solid product that should help my home be a bit more secure ... show more

Took less than 30 minutes to install. Hardest part(but that's for any lock) is getting the two screws that hold the locks to each other to line up. Reprogrammed admin code and added user easily. I have not messed with any of the other settings but will in time. Very satisified so far-hopefully feel the same in 6 months. A+++ Using it for a front door so let's see how it does. *update* Normal use, 3x daily, broke in 7 months. DO NOT BUY The backup key did not work.
