I am one of those Amazon shoppers who will scroll and scroll looking for a perfect product, no matter how long it takes. And then I read essentially every single review. SO when it came time for me to find barstools for our new kitchen, I did my research! There were about 5 barstools that met all my requirements: swivel, pack of two, lighter upholstery, padded seat and padded back, BIG seat for our growing butts. I decided finally on purchasing this set because of the reviews and I'm SO glad I did. We love these stools so much! They fit perfectly into our Ikea cabinet kitchen. They are modern, sturdy and really really nice looking. I'm very happy with the fabric, too. The back of the stools can be unzipped and you can wash them, but not the seats. My son, who is five, eats breakfast on the stools every day, so he drops a blackberry or spills juice on them weekly (ugh!), but I just use a Tide pen right away and the fabric is still pristine. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The assembly is not "easy" but time consuming. My husband and I had to work together to put them together, but it wasn't hard at all. ... show more

These are our only dining room chairs, for our kitchen island, so they have to look nice. Very pleased with the style, swivel, color, sturdiness, and comfort. The screws are machined in such a way as to make foot rest and swivel plate attachments time-consuming and a challenge--keep everything loose until all screws are in and be patient.
