I needed a waterproof junction box to use in conjunction with a sprinkler control line repair. The junction box was perfect for my needs. I was impressed with the seals and overall quality of the junction box until I came to screwing the lid on the box. The manufacturer included the cheapest screws I've ever seen. One of the screws lacked slots in the head and was useless! My recommendation to the manufacturer is to get rid of the cheap screwdriver included and spend the money on higher-quality screws. ... show more

    • You will need a No. 41 Drill Bit

You will need a No. 41 Drill Bit which is about 0.096" dia. to make the screw holes bigger which hold the lid on. Otherwise the screws will bind and be too tight to screw all the way in. Otherwise it's a very nice box for $9.00.

Needed a waterproof junction box for our fountain pump connection. Everything about this unit is excellent except for the screws to mount top plate. I used 4 different philip head screwdrivers and all slipped on screw heads! Adapters for wiring were easy to install - didn't use the wiring block supplied [used Wago connectors]. Had the screws been better this would have been a 5 star review - I got around this issue and junction box works very well. ... show more

This product proved unusable to me for the simple fact that the ports were 15mm and I needed to push a 19mm connection through. I cannot blame them for that, 1: they do provide a splicing port (I do not wish to cut my connectors off and splice) 2: I could have confirmed the size of the port vs connector beforehand Hopefully this review will help someone by encouraging them to double check the size of their wire+connector before ordering. However, I am going to remove a star because of the terrible screws and design for sealing the lid. The small screws are cheap metal and wallow out easily, and the hole intended to screw them into is too narrow, requiring significant force to screw them down tight (even pushing down hard, the screw heads wallow). This can be solved by using your own screws. I do appreciate the extra rubber gaskets they provided for potential different gauge wire, that was a nice touch!! ... show more

Pretty much a no brainer on how to setup and use this item. My only 2 cons would be that it is a chore to get a larger style cable (power cord) thru the sealing rings and into the box and I wish that were or was another mounting method.
