I am a hobbyist and do small jobs. I stick weld mild steel up to 1/4" thick and have done some repairs that have lasted a long time. Not the prettiest of welds but it get the job done. These gloves are amazing! Comfortable and plenty of protection with a degree of tactile feel good enough for welding. I would compare it to using mechanics gloves when wrenching away. Smaller hardware came be problematic like items of thinner guage in welding. ... show more

For those who want to know, I would estimate the size as XL based upon the fact that I normally buy XL leather gloves for other work. I bought these exact same welding gloves in 2021 from the exact same link and the quality of the gloves, I just got are horrible. The first set 4 years ago were nice quality, these not so....very disappointed ☹️
