I bought this filter for our RV. Installed it under the kitchen sink as i didnt see a need to filter all the water going to the coach. This unit has successfully removed the need to buy bottled water for every trip and thats awesome. I also bought a Waterdrop faucet (pictured) so i wasnt filtering all the water for the kitchen sink. As it turned out the faucet wasnt the right one and was not compatible with the supplied connections. Also, my RV plumbing is not the same as in most households so the unit didnt come with the correct fittings. I called waterdrop customer support, they went over everything with me and sent out new hoses and all the fittings i needed free of charge. Even though i had a non conventional application they made it happen. The rep had me send pictures and take measurements to ensure i had all the fittings and the new hoses would reach. In about 4 days i received the install kit and everything went together perfectly, no leaks. After 3 weeks of continuous use i have no complaints. The water tastes good. Ive had better tasting bottled water before. Best comparison would be grocery store brand bottled water. it's not Fiji or from the french alps. Overall you can expect great build quality and customer service, easy to find filter replacements, and long filter life (in my application). One thing to note when installing, the unit must be removed to change filters. They come out from underneath. Or install high enough where you have a couple feet below to work with. It does come with quick connect fitting to make removing it easier. I would buy again.

So I really wanted to do a before/after chemical test on my water to see if this thing would actually make a difference. But the reality is, that would have cost me 4 times as the actual filter is worth, so I just went with it. There’s no way to actually know if this thing is taking anything dangerous chemicals out of your water. But here’s what I will say, the taste is dramatically better, and the flow is great. Yes. There is some reduction of flow. But probably only by 20% when compared to the hot water flow. But the convenience of being able to just open up the tap and fill your water bottle far outweighs the loss of flow. It is so nice to be able to go straight to the sink and just get good clean water and not have to use the tiny filter off the fridge. I replaced all of the filters at about a one-year increment. However, I may have replaced the particle filter at six months. Attached are the photos of the filters on the inside where I cut them open. The UF filter was particularly interesting because it’s made up of a bunch of little straws . The carbon filter definitely has carbon. So it’s not just a bunch of smoke and mirrors is my point. I do purge my water in the morning for about a minute or so to ensure if the SS housing is leaching any lead, at least it will be flushed out. All in all we are very very happy with the system.

Edit* Waterdrop reached out and sent another unit to me. The new unit does not leak, so my rating has changed to 5 stars So far, my experience with the product has been unsatisfactory. The install was not very difficult, and after install the product appeared to have no leaks. But after 24 hours of use, there was a substantial amount of water puddled in the cabinet surrounding the filter. After further investigation, I identified 2 locations where the product was leaking. The first was at the base of the filter housing of the 3rd filter. I tried to fix the problem by loosing the housing and then re tightening it, but this didn't fix the problem. The second leak is located where the main water line connects to the base of the filter housing. I followed the vague instructions my inserting one of the supplied clips to no avail. I have ordered a replacement to see if this was just a defective unit. As far as the quality of water, the filter is doing a great job, so I really hope that the replacement filter works. If so, I will update my review. I must say that it is really inconvenient to have to change these filters out because I already work 12 hours a day, so time is valuable.

I am not an expert in water, which is ironic since my body is made of about 60% water. I'm not a plumber either but was able to install the filter somewhat easily. When installing, the pieces were well-made and did not leak. Didn't have to use any plumber's tape, which is a relief being a non-plumber. I was looking for a filter that did not require drilling a new faucet into the sink. This works well but only the cold water is filtered. Water seems to taste better and I feel better about washing foods in cleaner water too. It's not too bad to have unfiltered hot water since that is mostly for washing dishes and doesn't have to be super clean. I wish there was a better indicator that filters need to be changed other than "if water is flowing slowly, it's time to change the filter". The company should be around, so hopefully you won't have issues finding the right filters when needed. For someone who is mostly made of water, I think the water filter works well. If you're also made of mostly water, I think you'd appreciate the filter too.

After evaluating the options I picked this unit and the install was amazingly easy. The two braided steel hoses come with it and are configured to be foolproof the install. The hose going to the supply for the unit snaps into the IN, and has a female end connecting to the supply valve. The hose to the sink that was removed then connects to the female threads fitting from the other hose coming from the output side of unit for plenty of length. Genius design, well made and the stainless everything is a no brainer to buy, I bought 3 more while amazons 40.00 discount and this low price is still available. Im glad to have this S/S model and not have plastics in my water purifier. Took me 5 minutes to install.
