My water in Colorado tastes pristine but when I get into the Southwest the calcium taste is unbearable. I switch to bottled water. This unit removes enough calcium that I don’t feel a need to buy bottled water. There is a faint hint of calcium if one compares filtered water w/ bottled water. As a proof in concept this unit worked well. I may continue shopping to see if there are other brands that work better but I am satisfied at this time. ... show more

Ive had it now for 6 months. It's not simply obvious, but looking for calcium deposit around the shower heads I can see that there's no build up and actually it's removing some of the residual. It's an indicator that its working on all of my appliances that uses hot water.

I broke two filters - do not over tighten! If you use blue thread lok tite you won’t have issues with leaking. The Teflon tape is a joke with stainless steel!! Overall great option for my carpet cleaning truck!!

The product came quick I didn't install it but I did inspect it and it looks like a good quality product. I sent it back beçouse the tankless water heater I was putting in didn't come for two weeks so I just put another tank typ one in.

    • simple way to make your water heater last
Scale is what assisted my water heater to journey to the dump. Fortunately, it's summer so the cold showers are actually preferable but having to boil 3 gallons of water to wash dishes is a pain in the tushie. Adding a scale trap like this can help avoid future "emergencies"
