Specifications: Screen Size Range - US Standard Screen: 16 - 50 mesh, wet. Particle Size Range: +1.2 mm less than 5%, -0.3 mm less than 1%. Moisture Retention, Na+ form: 46 - 50%. I purchased 1/2 CuFt of resin to increase the capacity of an underfilled softener resin tank. Shipment was quick, and there was no damage to the bags containing the resin, which has identical appearance to the resin already in the tank. The only reason for less than 5 stars was that the price would have been lower elsewhere, but I needed it quickly (and it was delivered quickly). Note that when adding new resin, a small amount of leaching- fractured beads/residue- is normal and to be expected when water is first passed through the tank. After connecting the softener tank, I ran water from a faucet near the connection. The water started discolored (gold/tan), but after about 5 gallons ran completely clear. Again, this initial discoloration is to be expected with fresh resin, and I cannot say whether it was from the resin I bought here, or the resin (also fresh) already in the tank. We live full time in a RV and use a lot of water. Our on the go water softener showed signs of needing resin replacement. Prices were so high for the resin, we were considering full unit replacement. We have had our softener for @ 8 years and felt it was time to renew. Followed instructions on video and it worked perfectly. This was about 1/2 price of other sellers and results were immediate. Good value.

I purchased four bags of resin. I replaced it in my 25-year-old water softener. It seems to be working well. However, upon opening the box when it arrived, I found two of the bags busted open. Even though the box itself was not damaged at all. Makes a big mess. Packing needs to be better. Otherwise, I would have given a five-star review. ... show more

Resin must have been seconds or floor sweep of fines from bead size screening for trusted product. Cleaned tank, replaced distributors with OEM parts, and loaded new resin. Service, backwash, and rinse flow rates reduced by 75% in 20 seconds. Resin fines plugged distributors. Removed resin and captured attached photos that shows inconsistency of bead diameters. Just bought new resin with real specifications especially on size guarantee. This product needs specification or just plain transparency for what is being presented to buyer.
