We just hooked it up, plugged it in and it immediately worked. Have had this for a few weeks now and no issues at all. All the parts appear durable and well made. Ordered this pump to drain a portable tub. It's larger in dimensions than I was expecting but it's working for my intended purpose. It doesn't come with a drain hose so be aware that you will have to order one of those. Nothing fancy about this pump but it works as described.

I picked up this pump for getting a winters worth of water off my pool cover and it was perfect for the job! It moves a LOT of water, just as advertised, and didn't get clogged with leaves and debris that were also on the cover. I was very impressed with out quickly it did the job! I haven't used it for that long, but there was a lot of debris that could have caused issues, and this thing worked like a champ!

The pump is powerful for applications like aquarium, Fountains, and Hot Tubs as described by the manufactured. I was also impressed that it drains water to less than half inch when I tested it. The manufactured should probably specify what size aquarium the pump is appropriate for, if it will be used as a fountain in an aquarium, or for water filtration. It would be too large for the common 25-40 gallon aquariums. This is a larger pump than I was expecting. It would have been nice if they included the pump dimensions, instead of the package dimensions. I got this pump with the intention of using it to pump water from a drain that is too small for larger pumps. Sometimes the drain accumulates dirt and sand, and I want to drain the water before scooping out the sand or dirt. But I was disappointed, because the pump is still too large; if I knew the pump dimensions I wouldn’t have gotten it. Also it would be nice if there was switch on the end of the cord so there is more control when the pump starts after it is inserted in the water. Although I have looked at several pumps, and none comes with a switch.

So far so good on the pump. It comes with a variety of barbed hose fittings for most standard hose sizes. The bottom feed is particularly nice for getting the last bit out of a container. I have only been using it for a few weeks so durability is TBD. My only concern thus far is the housing feels sort of cheap. It doesn't impact the operation of the pump, just something to note.

I got this pump to help fill my aquarium after water changes because my special faucet won't accommodate any of the tank filler hoses. Spent $50 on food grade, strong 1 inch ID tubing to support it. It drains faster than my faucet can keep up (which I guess is a good thing for some uses, just not mine). Also, it doesn't always pump. It runs, but doesn't suck up the water, no matter how much is in the bucket. Even almost fully submerged, it wouldn't pull water into the hose. It doesn't have any kind of switch..plug it in and it runs, unplug it to stop. I hate this design. The suction cups on the bottom continuously get stuck to the bottom of my bucket and detach from the pump, rendering them useless. Overall, I feel that I've wasted $100 on this -45 for the pump and 50 on the hose. I'm back to carrying pitchers of water to fill my tank.

I ordered this 100W water pump for my fish aquarium. I needed a new one and liked everything I read about this one. The pump seems really well-made and of high-quality. The instructions were not included in the box. I’m not sure if this was an accident or they just don’t come with instructions. Either way, I do not want to try to hook the pump up without instructions because I was afraid it may harm my fish. Without the instructions, the pump is useless. I would not recommend you purchase this pump because of missing instructions.
