Okay to start with I am a real life human not from fake AI writing a commentary on this product I live in Michigan so it's cold here in the past 3 years I have bought a total of five cameras from wainsviews security cameras 3 direct plug and two solar powered panel ones and I got to tell you I was thoroughly happy with the three plug-in ones they don't lose connection from my Wi-Fi when I connect when I'm not connecting to the Wi-Fi they just kind of communicate a little bit it doesn't take up a whole bunch of bandwidth just kind of checks in periodically until you come to see your alert and then at that point it shows you what alerts went off and you can make a choice to act upon them or not but the best part is is if it wasn't for these cameras I was letting a homeless guy stay in my backyard trying to help him out and it was the 4th of July he was shooting fireworks off in one shot into my garage I was gone at the time but when I got a call telling me my garage was on fire I was able to look in the real time at my garage in golfed in flames it was a pure accident and after reviewing the footage and showing the fire marshal he agreed and the gentleman didn't get in trouble but if I wouldn't have had that camera installed who knows what would have happened they could have took it upon themselves to criminally charge somebody with an accident The image that is broadcast is phenomenal day or night it has infrared technology which is also excellent it operates flawlessly and switching back and forth once in a while a bug will make it turn on but they got to have the limelight in a little stage time too don't they lol anyhow I would definitely and I mean definitely recommend these cameras to anybody not only do you get a good camera but you get great customer service I will say the customer service is in a different time zone so you will have to kind of play a little bit of wake up in the middle of night and communicate because wallet daytime their time it's sleepy time our time A lot of times I find myself checking the messages in the middle of the night sometime they're very prompt if they're strong message there they responded by 11:30 before the end of my day on the 21st of April they had gotten back with me before it turned to the 22nd and by that time I had figured out what the issue was the customer service and troubleshooting department is far non excellent quick to respond quick to resolve your problems what I find is being the easiest way to share a problem Mr put your phone on screen record mode with recording audio so then you can go back through the app with them and talk to them in real time almost well real time in the aspect of you're in the app watching whatever issue go on in real time so then when the message comes to him they can see that what exactly is happening and fix the issue very quick and prompt and then you can get back to viewing what you want to view they're quick to set up easy with each generation that comes out I started out with the w 3 I believe and now I have a w7 and I need two more cameras so I will probably be getting them over the summer because the ones I have on the side of the house are going to get ripped off from the ice but I still like them there so I'll probably relocate him to a protective space underneath my eve and then add camera that is visible front and back at the very peak of my house with no snow can or ice can rip it off That's the only downfalls making sure it's secure and if you have ice buildup you need to make sure that it's not in that location anyhow I would recommend this and have recommended it to my sister and all my family members I've got my sister to buy two of them and she absolutely loves them We both have ring doorbells but it's actually quicker for us to log into the security camera than it is too log into a ring doorbell which bugged my mind anyhow if you're looking for a security feature at an excellent price and I am a skeptic of anything cheap I would recommend this to anybody that asked me and anybody that didn't I'd still recommend it ... show more

Simple set up Easy to install As long as you have WiFi it works good. You can customize how sensitive it is, the quality of video is good you can choose between 2k or sd. It picks up motion well. All the cameras have endured our HOT Texas summers so very durable. Also solar power makes it were I can put it whatever I want. Camera works great even if you don’t have subscription. If you upgrade to subscription which isn’t expensive it’s worth it. Excellent product I e have recommended to my grown kids and family, great value for what we paid. We have bought 3 of these. I have installed 2 of these B7 2K Dual Lens Solar cameras within our multi acre wooded home site. I am very satisfied with their performance, quality and reliability. I have just ordered 2 more of the B7's. They provide a easy installation solution to expand real-time panning and 2K optical zooming with motion capture video across multi-acreage property where Wi-Fi coverage has been expanded. The cameras are accessed anywhere over the internet with smart phones, tablets or computers with an easy to use/customizable multi-camera application. I have installed in each camera a 32 gig micro chip to locally view recorded videos and photos. I am satisfied with this option which avoids a monthly subscription fee for cloud storage. Our home is located within a rural 60 acre wooded plot. I have increased our Wi-Fi coverage to extend beyond our home to include 4 acres. I have installed 2 of these solar powered cameras within this wooded acreage and am very pleased with their connectivity, reliability and functionality. I find it easier to quickly survey the 360 degree view to use the camera's ability to save up to 4 pan/tilt positions. By selecting a saved position, the camera moves automatically to the desired selection. For each camera, I reserve one of the saved positions and label it "Base" to quickly return the camera back to a target position for motion capture (especially useful when defining a partial area). Neither of the 2 camera's solar cells have access to full sun, but their batteries have all maintained 90%+ charge even though they are surrounded by dense trees and during several days of rainy/cloudy conditions. The wattage draw on these solar powered cameras, unlike those supplied by direct current, have been designed to only activate their Wi-Fi transceivers when being viewed through the camera's app. This design reduces greatly their power requirements on internal batteries, with no impact on usability. While not being viewed real-time by a user(s) through their app, all local low-power functions (i.e. motion detection, photo/video capture, SD card recordings, alerts, etc.) are fully functioning 24/7. The 2K quality of the photo/video through the separate wide and telephoto lenses and real-time Wi-Fi streams are exceptional, even when casting the streams to 60" smart tv displays. I plan on buying more of these cameras as I continue to increase the Wi-Fi coverage throughout the remaining acreages. ... show more

I bumped up my rating as this company quickly did what was necessary to rectify the issue I had with a camera defect. New camera is working fine. Solar camera really helps when you can't get a hardwire to it. And it normally picks up human movement. I prefer hardwire as I get more alerts. We love our Wansview cameras, as well as the playback options on the app. The cameras are extremely clear both during the day and night. I highly recommend purchasing this product. Communication from the company is great as well. We have had wansview cameras for over 10 years and have been very pleased with them. Setup is simple and rarely loses connection with wifi. I ordered this camera to put on the side of my house where I don't have access to power. So far it has worked well and has a nice clear picture with no blind spots. I like the dual lens as it lets me see a wide angle and a close up view. Color night vision is also a bonus and with the tracking it follows anything that sets it off. I use that with the built in siren to deter the stray cats from my yard. Setup is easy with the app, feels pretty solid so I'm thinking it should hold up in our hot weather here, time will tell :-) . ... show more

So, I have three Wansview Solar Outdoor cameras that are stationary and on the Basic monthly subscription (since I wanted to be lazy and not setup local/FTP storage, etc). I got this third PTZ one to add to my bird feeder setups. The Basic $6.99/mo plan only supports up-to 3 devices. Their website offers an "Extended" plan, but, their app refuses to allow the upgrade from Basic to Extended. They want you to jump right to "Pro", for over twice the cost at $16.99. There's no way to manage this on the website. They'll try to say it's the camera and being unable to get on the plan, BUT, you can switch them in and out of the Basic plan with no issue? I emailed them about it and they asked for my camera information to verify it was compatible, almost right after I emailed them. Once I pointed out the above all I got was crickets. So, as far as the quality, they're great! Night vision and motion detection is great. I don't use their AI, since it's... Well, AI detection for birds is bad. The app works great and it's responsive. I like the FaceID login and it's functions (minus the scammy subscription management). Batteries last a good while, but, I had to get larger solar panels to accommodate the drain. Get an SD card and just use local storage if cloud storage is not an issue. ... show more

Purchase a total of 4 of these in August 2025. Downloaded the app and set up in about 1 hour for all four. For the price range these cameras and app work very well for outdoor security at our residence. I like being able to keep an eye on our place when we travel. I use the micro SD card for memory and did not use or try the cloud storage. I wanted a camera system without the monthly fees. In August 2026 one of the cameras malfunctioned. I contacted product support via their website and, after a few back and forth emails to prove the issue was camera related, I was shipped a replacement camera.
