This camera has a solar panel which can be attached to the top of the camera so that you only have to screw the camera to the side of your house. Solar works well and all my cameras stay charged even on cloudy days. This camera has a separate zoom lens or you can use the standard wide angle. You can use the app to rotate the camera. It has a white light that turns on at night if there is motion, depending on your setting. Night time photos/videos are black and white if the light is turned off. I now have 8 of these cameras first ones are 6 years old and all are working flawlessly This newest is the best with 1x and 4x magnification Very simple to setup load up the wainsview app and add a camera turn on the camera and point it to the QR code generated on your phone And hey presto it’s up I add a 64gb micro SD card to each camera ($4 on amazon ). And I get two months worth of recording or more. With out the monthly subscription cost (Make sure camera is of when installing card) Sends notification on activity to phones . has AI to detect humans,cars,pets and even dogs barking Image and video are excellent The hardest part is mounting the camera.. All hardware is supplied so a ladder, a screw gun and 10 minutes later you’re in business I have had zero problems with battery/solar charging. All my camera photovoltaic cells are pointed towards the southern sky. But see some shade during the day The app is very stable and has thousands of positive reviews. Excellent product. There isn’t anything about this camera that I don’t like. Reliable, eco-friendly, and hassle-free! This solar outdoor camera has exceeded my expectations. The built-in solar panel ensures continuous power, eliminating the need for frequent battery changes or wiring hassles. Solar batteries are at a constant 100%. Even low wifi signals do not seem to diminish instant alerts nor do they cause missed activity. The video quality is crisp, even in low-light conditions, and the motion detection is spot-on.
