I use this in the kitchen near my small appliances. The number of USB ports is perfect for me. It is easy to plug into. The night light is not glaring but puts off enough light when I leave the house and the dogs stay in the kitchen. It's not hard at all to set up. Two helpful hints: 1. To get the night light started turn your lights off and if it doesn't automatically turn on then tap the silver/grey circle above the USB ports. 2. Depending on your existing switch plate, you may need to come up with a longer screw to secure it into the outlet. I did and it tightened up and was fine.

This thing is awesome! I hate I debated and waited! The shape of it allows for bulky [ hello alexa echo dot...or hair stylers ] plugs without losing socket space. It has slots for just the cord of most digital devices...the little shelf is perfect for the echo dot... I didn't realize it had a light, the trapezoidal shape is what I noticed first. Highly recommend!

I tried it in a standard wall outlet and it is a nice multi outlet with night lite. The shelf made it hard to see the USB inputs. Had to get pretty low unless I left the cable connected and put in the shelf indents. It looked too cluttered. Tried it in a kitchen counter outlet and that’s where it will stay. Couldn’t figure out how to install it on GFI outlet. Just need the right location.

is a power switch to allow it to turn on and off with the sensor, which is a good option if using this item in a guest bedroom and the guest doesn't like any light at night. I have my echo show on the platform and still can easily slide my cell phone bahind it to charge at the same time. The grounding hole in the outlests making it convienient to plug my vacuum in too. I didnt have to unscrew the face plate to secure it in order to start using it right away. I figure i can move it to the main room on days I have family gatherings making it convienient for my guests to charge thier phones if the dont have their wall adapter with them or more than one person needs to charge a phone at the same time. My only regret is I didn't buy a few more when I bought this one for other rooms. I hope they go on sale again soon.

Read the reviews after I bought it and my light didn’t work, was kind of bummed but I liked it anyway and got it on a good deal. Well, as I was plugging stuff in and wiggling a cord out, the light decided to work, so maybe some wiggling might help others. I got it for the chargers and outlets in my kitchen not thinking I would really use the shelf, but it holds my iPad just perfect and has turned out to be pretty awesome that way. Would def recommend

Only complaint is light does not work. But looking at reviews thats a common complaint. But I dont need the light but others might and would probably want to go with a different outlet.

I purchased this about a month ago it is very convenient my only dislike is that the USB charging is slower than the actual plug-in but even though it is very convenient when you don’t have a base for a USB plug keep it in my kitchen for my friends come over and need a charge
